I have a question for all who are C.E.Os of any business whether big or small, how do you keep your sanity? C'nR' Java books was in full renovation mode now for the past two weeks. I wondered how Nick and Malcom kept it together all the time. My office work was so much simpler than what I was doing right now but no Malcom said that I should be hands on here while he handled all the work at C.G.E. I told him to call if he needed anything but who was I kidding, I knew he wouldn't.

"Jo, I just signed an order for more paint. The wall in the ball room needs some more finishing."

Sally was good at this may I say, all the coordination and stuff.

"I am so glad you are here Sall."

"What would you do without me?"

I smiled at her as she bounced off to check what was going on in the ballroom. My phone rang and I jumped at it.

"Hunnie,"

"Can we stick to one term of endearment Nick."

"I was wondering when you'd start complaining about that."

"To what do I owe the pleasure of this call?"

He hasn't talked to me for the past one week and he was here calling me sweet names.

"Just to see if you need some help."

Liar.

"Don't you have an empire to run?"

If he isn't going to tell me why he called then there's no point of me needing his help right now besides Sallie and I got this.

"You are right, I do."

"Talk to you later then."

I hang up and let out an exasperated sigh. I needed to get back to work around here so I supervised the finishing of the floor in the coffee shop side and it was a job well done I might say. We decided to go with a marble floor for the whole building instead of tiles. Within the next two weeks this area will be done. I gave the workers a smile and a thumbs up. It was nearing lunchtime so everyone was preparing to take a break, Sallie offered to get me some food while I waited. I went to the back of building where the would be garden was being planted to see how it was coming along. About ten minutes later, I heard footsteps coming my way.

“Look who I found just outside."

It was Laurea, Nicholas and Malcom.

“Did Stephy break her heel and that's why she is lagging behind?"

“Actually I'm the one who is carrying our lunch."

Always the drama queen, I hadn't seen her since we talked on phone the last time.

“To what do I owe the pleasure of this surprise."

“Stephy here rallied us all to this place, she just flew from Mexico this morning and couldn't wait  to see us all," Laurea explained.

“We also wanted to see how the place is getting by."

“I have paperwork that needs your signature," Malcom said.

I got to the paperwork work first then we sat down to eat. The girls had brought their favorite Italian dish which we all enjoyed together. Laurea and Stephy insisted I give them a tour of the place even though it was a mess at the moment.

“This place will turn out amazing," Laurea said.

“I agree, and I think you should go with the pot lamps outside here Jo," Stephy added.

I smiled at that because that was what Sallie and I had been wanting to go for all this time. I took them to the coffee shop area which was almost finished up and they were impressed too. An hour later they all left with Nick promising to swing by my place later. He better bring a bottle of wine. I thought to myself. Today had been a busy day and when it was time to go home I was so glad.
