Something Isn't Right Here

Player appeared in the lobby and jumped out of his seat. "Finally. After a long hard day I finally get to chill out and play some among us."

Then he saw Captain and Dum nearby talking. He decided to go over and see what the conversation was about.

"Hey sis, hey captain," he said as he appeared next to them.

"Hey, bestie," said Captain, sounding in a good mood. "How ya doing?"

"I'm fine," replied Player, taking note of Captain's good mood. "You seem to be happy."

"I am," said Captain, before turning to his girlfriend. "You tell him, Dum."

Dum giggled. "It's a month since we started dating."

"Has it been a month already?" asked Player, mildly surprised.

"It has," said Captain, before pointing at his girlfriend and poking her playfully. "And I have something special planned for you."

Dum giggled, enjoying her boyfriend's company.

"Hey, how's it hanging?" Asked a familiar, gruff voice.

"Oh, hi Veteran," said Player as his friend joined them. "I thought you couldn't play today."

"Well, I was planning on taking the dog for a walk," said Veteran. "But then I remembered I don't actually have a dog."

Player face palmed at his friends stupidity but decided to ignore it. He looked at the other players in the lobby. "Who else is here?"

"Well, we have the 2 other couples," said Veteran, pointing to BDay and Rose who were talking in a corner and Engineer and Gnome who were by the computer. "And then there's Ria and Mr Egg." He pointed at Ria, who was by herself leaning against a crate while Mr Egg watched from afar.

"Wait, that's weird," said Player, noticing something.

"What is?" Asked Captain, confused (although Captain finds many things confusing...)

"There are 3 pink players in this lobby," said Player. "Dum, Rose and Mr Egg..."

"It's probably a small glitch," said Veteran.

"But there's 2 lime players as well," continued Player, pointing at Gnome and Ria.

"Don't worry, brother," said Dum, who noticed her brother seemed quite panicked. "It's probably nothing."

Player decided to believe his sister, but still found it somewhat weird. Then he heard the sound of more people joining the lobby. Everyone saw TheGentleman and Mr Cheese enter.

"For the last time, Mr Cheese," sighed TheGentleman, seeming annoyed. "I am not going to look after Cheddar."

As if on cue, Mr Cheese's dog appeared and started running around his owner and barking.

"But he'll be lonely all in his own," said Mr Cheese, slightly upset.

"But I simply can't look after a mangey mutt!" exclaimed TheGentleman.

"Mangey mutt?" Gasped Mr Cheese, obviously upset. Cheddar didn't feel offended, mainly because he had no idea what was going on.

"I don't like animals," grumbled TheGentleman, but then noticed his accomplice had a tear welling up. "Mr Cheese?"

"You...you're really mean!" Cried Mr Cheese childishly. "I don't wanna see you again!" Then he ran to the other side of the lobby with a cry.

"What's wrong with him?" Asked Veteran.

"Poor Mr Cheese," said Dum, watching him sob.

But Player was more worried about something else. "That's even wierder..."

"What now?" Asked Veteran, slightly annoyed at how paranoid Player seemed today.

"Only 10 players are allowed in a standard Skeld game," said Player. "But there are 12 of us!"

"12?" Captain struggled to process the math.

"Something weird is going on..." Said Player.

"Whatever," sighed Captain, giving up on trying to count. "I'm going to start the game."

"No wait!" Yelled Player but he was too late...
