Photos, Crates and Mr Cheese

"Just...a little...higher," said Player, reaching for the box. Veteran was trying to keep balanced as he helped Player reached the box that BDay said the sleeping bags were in.

"I can't get much higher," groaned Veteran, who was standing on his toes (do crewmates even have toes?)

But then Veteran slipped and fell, Player landing on top of him. "Aaagh!"

Player groaned, then heard Veteran beneath him. "I have got to take this to the doctor tomorrow," he sighed.

"Geez, can't you get anything right?" sighed Player.

"Well at least I don't lose every game I play."

"Oh yeah? Well at least I don't suck at every game except Fall Guys, which is a stupid game anyway!"

"Hey, don't badmouth Fall Guys!"

Mr Egg and Ria watched the argument. Ria face palmed. "They're best friends alright," sighed Mr Egg.

"I think they might be a bit more than that," Ria told him.

"You mean like a crush?" asked Mr Egg, curiously.

Ria nodded. "Mm hm." The crewmate noticed Mr Egg went quiet and looked at him. He was stood motionlessly, staring at her. "Um...Mr Egg?"

"Oh, sorry," said Mr Egg quickly, blushing slightly. He turned to Player and Veteran. "Would you two like help getting that crate down?"

Ria didn't know what to make of it but decided to ignore it.

...

"...and that's me and Bill at the park," said Captain as he showed BDay a photo. The blue crewmate looked like he was bored to death. "Oh, and that's me and Bill playing laser tag!" Said Captain, showing another photo.

"Do you talk about anyone other than Bill?" Asked BDay, slightly annoyed.

"Sure," replied Captain before taking out another photo album. "This one is full of photos of me and Player."

BDay groaned. This was going to be a loooooong time in space. I bet lockdown doesn't seem so bad now, does it?

...

TheGentleman was walking through the corridor from shields to storage. "Mr Cheese, where are you?" Then he noticed Mr Cheese in comms wearing headphones and staring at the monitor. "Mr Cheese?"

Mr Cheese didn't hear, and was too busy watching the screen. A video of sorts was going on and Cheddar was asleep by Mr Cheese's side.

Curiously, TheGentleman went towards him and looked over the orange crewmate's shoulder. On the screen was a video of Mr Cheese as a child with his parents. They were in garden, Mr Cheese being chased by his father. TheGentleman watched the video before looking at his "associate".

"He misses his parents," thought TheGentleman caringly. "Mr Cheese is still quite young, and is fairly new to this world. But without his parents, and I'm the closest thing Mr Cheese has to family." He turned and left the room. "I suppose I should start being more considerate towards him."

...

In medbay, Dum and Rose were talking.

"Hey Dum, I've wondering," said Rose.  "What do you see in Captain?"

Dum giggled. "He's really sweet and funny. He always makes me laugh. And he really gets on with Player, and it's adorable to see them together."

"That's great to know," said Rose.

"So what's BDay like?" Asked Dum.

"He's really kind and considerate," replied Rose cheerily. "I wonder what he's doing now..."

...

"...and there's me and Player on Polus, making snow angels," said Captain to BDay, who was asleep.

"We're back!" Called Player as he, Veteran, Mr Egg and Ria entered with some sleeping bags.

"Huh? What? I'm awake!" Cried BDay as he was woken by Player's voice."

"There you are, bestie," said Captain. "I was getting worried there. I thought you was going to leave and never come back. It would be my graduation from flight school all over again!"

Player decided not to question that and spoke to everyone. "Alright, let's sort out these sleeping bags for tonight before Mr Cheese eats one."
