Bonus Chapter! EVERMORE

I bet you weren't expecting to see this updated were ya? Well it's been a year since this book came to a close so I decided to post this bonus chapter as a little gift to all my readers. So this chapter will take place in between chapters 10 and 11 and uses the song Evermore from the 2017 live action Beauty and the Beast Disney movie. Enjoy :)

Adam sighed sadly to himself as Blake ran out of the ballroom. He knew letting her go was the right thing. Still even though it was the right thing it hurt, a lot.

I was the one who had it all. I was the master of my fate. I never needed anybody in my life. I learned the truth, too late.

He ran his paw over the glass dome covering the enchanted rose.

I'll never shake away the pain. I close my eyes but she's still there. I let her steal into my melancholy heart. It's more then I can bear.

He walked back to the balcony and looked out into the courtyard to see Blake riding her horse toward the castle gate.

Now I know she'll never leave me. Even as she runs away. She will still torment me. Calm me, hurt me. Move me, come what may.

He walked back inside and headed to the tallest tower in the castle the same one he had held Blake prisoner in when she first arrived.

Wasting in my lonely tower, waiting by an open door. I'll fool myself she'll walk right in. And be with me, forevermore.

Adam sadly looked out the window and saw that Blake could no longer be seen. She really was gone.

I rage against the trials of love. I curse the fading of the light. Though she's already flown so far beyond my reach, she's never out of sight. Now I know she'll never leave me, even as she fades from view. She will inspire me, be a part of everything thing I do.

He sat down on the edge of the balcony and felt a few tears run down his face.

Wasting in my lonely tower, waiting by an open door. I'll fool myself she'll walk right in. And as the long long nights begin. I'll think of all that might've been. Waiting here, for...ever...more.
