Little Miss Mila Minter

Part 1-New Things

My name is Mila Minter.  I'm 17 years old. I moved to LA when I was 14 to pursue my modelling career. My agent Sharon is like a second mum to me. I moved in with her into a small apartment along with another girl who is two years older than me. Her name is Jade. We get along super well and I couldn't ask for a better best friend. I haven't been to England in three years due to my busy schedule. I miss my Mum , Dad and my three older brothers . One of my brothers is a famous youtuber known as Miniminter, although no one knows that we are related. We decided to keep it a secret as I didn't want to be known as his little sister. I wanted to be known as a model.

27th October 2016

I woke up to my alarm screeching in my ear. 5am! Today is going to be a long day. I had a meeting with Sharon and few other people on the team as they wanted to talk to me about something important.

I quickly got out of bed and changed into a black Nike sports bra with matching leggings. I chucked my long  blonde hair into a cute but messy ponytail and washed my face and brushed my teeth in my bathroom. I stumbled into the kitchen and made myself a strawberry protein shake and downed it before putting my trainers on. I grabbed my keys, phone, airpods and water bottle and left the apartment.

The best thing about living in this apartment complex is the gym downstairs. It's fully equipped and I pretty much spend most of my free time here. I love working out. It's quite relaxing.

I started off with a warmup on the treadmill. I put my airpods in my ears and started blaring my playlist. My playlist was full of different types of songs from Disney songs to Beyoncé to Eminem. I ran 3 miles and started doing some core exercises. Once I had finished my workout, I went back to my apartment and showered. After I had finished I dried my hair and curled it and applied a light amount of makeup before putting on blue jeans, knitted grey body suit and a brown jacket. I paired it up with white converses, dainty earrings and a cute silver bracelet. I sprayed myself with perfume before grabbing my bag and hurrying out the apartment.

It was 7:45am and the meeting was at 8:30. It takes approximately 30 minutes to get to the agency so I hailed a taxi and told him my destination. Luckily there wasn't much traffic so I got to the agency earlier than planned.

Since it was 20 minutes until the meeting, I walked towards the nearest Starbucks which was only a 5 minute walk from the agency. I ordered a pumpkin spiced latte and paid for my order. Once I got my order I quickly walked back to agency with my drink. I was so nervous for this meeting. What if it was a job I wouldn't like? Or even worse, what if I didn't have a job at all?

I walked into the room the meeting was being held at and sat down on one of the seats that surrounded the big table. Shortly after, my agent Sharon and a few other people walked in.

"Hey Mila. You're probably wondering why you've been called in this morning" Sharon said.

I nervously replied with "yes."

"We've got some big news for you. We want you to move back to London and continue with your career there. So many jobs have been offered to you over there and we think it would be so much better for you. There are more opportunities and it's closer to your family. How doe's that sound?"

I couldn't contain my excitement. I leaped into her arms and hugged her tightly.

"I'll take that as a yes then" Sharon laughed.

"Yes of course thankyou so much. When do you want me over there?" I asked.

"Your flight is booked for this Wednesday at 4:30 am.

"Oh gosh I better start packing then."

I got a taxi back to the apartment and immediately started packing. I had to also find a place to stay so once I had the majority of my things packed into 3 suitcases and 4 boxes, I started looking online for an apartment close to the agency and Simon.

After hours of looking I couldn't find a place. I could only think of one thing I could do for the time being. But I felt super bad for asking.
