I slipped one high heel out of the car and then the other, allowing David's hand to lift me to my feet. Immediately I was bombarded with white flashes, trying not to grimace as I blinked countless spots out of my vision. I slipped my arm through David's elbow, allowing him to guide me along and somehow managing to keep a shy smile on my lips as we went.

He glanced over at me and winked, stealing whatever breath I had left. His smile was contagious and I couldn't help but blush as I began to register all of the eyes behind the cameras staring at us.

David paused as he heard someone call out to us and while I tried to telepathically plead with him to keep going, he turned towards the voice with a grin and guided me over to a blonde woman with a notepad.

"Hello there, I'm Jennika. Would you mind telling me your names?"

"It's a pleasure to meet you," David said, gently shaking her hand. "I'm David Spencer and this," he turned to me and continued with a warm smile, "is my girlfriend, Angel Cosgrove. We play Riven and Musa."

I prepared myself for the disgusted shock that would surely appear on her face when she heard that we were together, but she didn't even bat an eye. She simply continued shining those pearly whites and jotting things on her notepad without ever looking down.

"Ah, of course. Wonderful to see you both here. I believe this is the first film you've both been part of if I've heard correctly?"

David nodded, setting his hand on mine and giving it a soft, reassuring squeeze. "Indeed it is. We were both so excited to get this opportunity, especially since Angel's casting came as such a surprise."

I studied his features, unsure what he meant by that. All of my memories surrounding the recording experience were foggy beyond recognition so I didn't know what he could be referring to.

Jennika turned to me and I had to fight the urge to shrink into David's embrace, forcing myself to stand even taller.

"Oh yes, I spoke to Mr. Green earlier and he said as soon as he heard your voice he just knew he needed you in the film."

I gave an uneasy laugh and shrugged weakly, mumbling, "Yes, I... I suppose that is how it went."

She didn't seem to pick up on my nerves or if she did she didn't care because she continued, "What did you think of the music? Were you excited when you heard it?"

My smile was becoming more and more forced as my legs kept begging me to bolt out of this incredibly uncomfortable situation but thankfully Charming came to the rescue.

"We both loved it," he replied, easily regaining her attention. "And when the vocals were added, it just made it so much more magical." He glanced at me when he said that but I wasn't sure what sort of reaction he was expecting. I just continued to stand there and nod like a dummy, but thankfully she seemed to run out of questions as she saw someone else coming down the carpet and started calling to them instead.

David continued gracefully guiding me down the seemingly never ending carpet, leaning in after a few moments and whispering, "Are you doing alright?"

My face felt like it was about to crack off with the weight of this constant fake smile but I nodded, allowing our gazes to meet for a moment. His gorgeous blue eyes brought me to a dream world where I felt like I could pretend that none of this was happening, that we were the only two people around and the camera flashes were merely the sun peaking through the leaves of swaying tree branches. He looked so handsome in his suit, with his hair slicked back just right and a genuine smile in his eyes that I couldn't help but lean in and give him a light kiss on the cheek.
