Arabella's POV

I'm so glad that William doesn't live in the pack house, well its more of a castle really. On our way to his house, people were stealing glances at us. It was rude of them if you ask me, it made me feel like I was in high school again. Just this time everyone here is a werewolf not just a fraction of the population.

William being the big brother he is gave me a piggy back ride from the hospital to his house even though I said I could walk. His response to my protest was that "No you can't walk and even if you did,you would slow down your recovery which would push back your training that you're not getting out of this time" so yeah I'm stuck with training.

I thought my brother would get a small cabin but his house was actually family sized, it had 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with a fully equipped kitchen ,a dinning room and  sitting area. The house has a homey feel to it and its welcoming.

When we reached the kitchen I saw Stacey, which made me happy really, too happy it seems. I hoped off my brother in a sprint and gave her a hug. She laughed at me but hugged me back. "God, I missed you." I said while still hugging her.

The reason why I liked Stacey so much is that she  has a friendly aura around her, gets me  and most importantly she has always made me feel welcomed. "I can tell, I missed you too Grace." She said with tears in her eyes.

We heard William clear his throat and we pulled away from each other to look at him. "I have to go sort out a few things, so I'll be back in a few hours." He said to us. "Um... Okay." I said softly but as he was about to leave I stopped him."Liam I'm sorry I didn't mean to get into trouble. So please don't go bashing heads in because I screwed up." I knew that I put him under a lot of stress these past days.

He just gave me a nod before walking out. I released a heavy sigh knowing that it was futile, he was still mad and I'd most likely have to continue to beg for the next few days. "He'll come around, he always does." Stacey said in her reassuring voice.

"Maybe." I said not wanting to dwell on this any longer. "So how are you guys?" I asked her now that we are alone. "I'm good and your brother is fine just training extra hard with all these attacks happening." She said in a worrisome tone.

"Stacey, you're not answering my question, I asked how are you and the baby?" I clarified. She has a shocked look on her face."How did you know, I haven't even told your brother yet." She questioned with a more puzzled look .

"I lived with a witch till I was 22,Stacy. Aunt Kassidy taught me a few things, plus I'm a nurse. I should take offense that you didn't remember any of this." I responded in a teasing meaner to ease her emotions before she gets my brother back here through their mate bond.

She looked a bit embarrassed afterwards "Well you can't blame me its the pregnancy brain." She covered with that lame comeback. "Well congratulations on the baby, miss pregnancy brain. You'll make great parents, I just know it." I said to her meaning every word.

"Thank you, now come. Let's eat, I'm hungry and tired." She said. "You and me,both sister." I said in between laughs. We spent the rest of our time after eating just talking and watching  television until we fell asleep on the couch cuddling.

It was hours after Williams football game, his team won as expected really. We were at the local diner, Cole's,where we always go after games to celebrate. They had the best deserts and the biggest burger's.

"Hey,Liam can I give you your gift now since I won't be home tomorrow?" I asked him since mom and dad were so in grossed in their conversion. He put his phone down and looked at me. He had a smirk on his face and gave me a small nod. I reached in my backpack for his gift. It wasn't something flashy.

He opened the small box and took out the necklace. It was hand crafted by me and I pleased a protection spell on it. The protection spell is there because I had a nightmare a few weeks ago that felt so real that I felt every bone break in my own body.

Mom, looked at William's necklace." Wow, that's a beautiful gift Grace." She said in a intrigued voice  I knew she could sense the magic in it but she could not detect what spell was used. "It truly is. Thanks Grace." Liam said with a smile on his face. "Its my pleasure but you have to promise to always wear it,and I mean always." I said in a serious voice. At that moment I knew mom was going to ask me later in what's up with the necklace.

"Okay, I promise." I smiled at his response. In our family a promise is like a blood oath to us. We spent the rest of the time talking amongst ourselves until it was time to leave. Mom and I were headed to her best friends house, our godmother Kassidy.

In the car mom had the radio playing softly. "So a necklace?" She asked in a teasing meaner. "Its the only thing that I could think of that he would not lose when he shifts." I responded in a calculated manner.

"Hmm... Is that why it was so heavy spelled?" She asked again."No...the spell serves its own purpose." I said hoping she would drop it but she won't. "Okay, but Grace you do know that magic does take its toll on non magic beings." I know what she means, the magic could drain the life force of any being  or drives them crazy . "True if there isn't balance to the magic being used, I found balance so that the spell doesn't harm or kill Liam or anyone around him." I said in a confident voice, I did find balance because I used my own spells and spent hours on making sure it was perfectly safe. It nearly drained all my strength really...

Hours later...

What woke me from my dream was the sound of the door opening, it was William. It looked like he was back from the the fields. When I saw him I got up and followed him to the kitchen. "Its rude to stare." He said. I smiled because I knew that he was at least back to his unbearable self.

"Its rude to not acknowledge your baby sister." I rebuked. "Ow my apologize princess, how are you your Grace?." He was facing me when he said that. He had his signature smirk on his face which made him look like his actual age.

"I'm doing so much better now that my brother, is in better spirits." I smiled to him. "Now tell me how was training?" I asked him. "It was okay but I had to start training kids today." He said, you could see it in his eyes that he loved his job but wanted to work with the warriors not the kids.

"Look on the bright side you still get to do what you love, which is to train. I don't know how you do it seeing as that is all we did growing up." I said to him. "That's because you are lazy and have zero sense of sportsmanship." His answer always remained the same.

I pretended to be offended "You know not everyone was dropped as a baby." I said in the same manner as him. We laughed and continued to talk. "I have the week off and I was thinking maybe we could do something together." Liam said after taking a drink of his beer.

"Hmm... Sure but can it be indoors. I'd hate to bump into my mate looking like I just battled an alpha." I joked, Liam seemed to tense when I said that but recovered fast. He laughed but it wasn't a genuine laugh. "What?" I asked because he was acting strange.

"Nothing, I'm just being weird." He brushed off but I wasn't having it. "You know that I'm always here for you right? I mean you know you could tell me anything and I'll always be there for you?" He asked seriously making me nervous. He looked like he was in turmoil, like he knew something that hurt him.

I grabbed his hand on the table. "I know and the same goes for you guys. Liam where is this coming from? Are you sure you okay?" I asked. He nodded his head, I didn't believe him but I let it go seeing as he was adamant on not telling me. We spoke for a few hours more before we headed to our respective rooms. Luckily there won't any concerning moments during that time.
