I stare at Vase who was smiling at me; he had flowers tucked on each ear. I feel really calm looking at him.

He looks like a young man with white hair that almost covers his eyes. He's wearing clothes for the winter, with a plaid wrapped around his neck.

I giggle, "you... seem really warm..." I meekly say.

He sighs with a smile and smiles at me again, softly.

He stands up straight, making me feel our difference in height, and looks back at the elderly man in front of us.

"Elderly... man?"

It was really surprising.

The elderly man who was once in front of us was gone, and instead a young boy with black hair was plodding his way to a nearby building.

I look at Vase and quietly say, "It seems like his age has reverted..."

He looks at the young boy, tilts his head and then nods in agreement. I notice that an unusual shadow is covering a part of his face.

It surprised me to see such a shadow for we were in such a sunny place.

I look around in curiousity, "It seems like the environment has changed as well..."

Just a little before, we were walking in a beautiful scenery filled to the brim with flowers. It was nature's masterpiece; her lovely, moving art. Contrary to that, we're now walking in a gloomy garden, with flowers half-wilted.

I look at the young boy, whom was once elderly, and see him in front of a wooden house as gloomy as its garden. He was looking into one of the house's dim windows. It had other windows, but instead of being dim, their curtains were closed. The house itself seemed lifeless. There was no such light to be seen.

Vase walks towards the young boy, and I slowly walk behind his shadow whilst looking behind, from which we came from. Nature's lovely, moving art was no more. The captivating flowers that we were enjoying were gone, and instead dark clouds greet us; there was an extremely thick fog surrounding the garden.

I look up, "The weather..."

Vase looks up to the sky with me and frowns.

It seemed like it was going to rain.

We step onto the house's porch, its steps creaking, and walk closer to the young boy. Vase went first, while I accompany him. He peeked into the window that the boy was looking into.

As I was getting closer to them, I noticed that one of the flowers on Vase's right ear had wilted; just like the flowers in the garden.

A: i'm a tad bit annoyed... wattpad didn't save when i wrote this chapter at first.

anyways, this story's cover has nothing to do with the actual story hehe. its a photo i took of a fish when i went to a aquarium one day edited into a picture of the sky, which i also took. there's probably a deep meaning buried in that photo, but i don't care about digging it out.
