Once class was over Katherine was determined to find a spot to silence out everyone, the noise, the chatter, the drama. Just everything.
She decided that the best place and option was the forbidden forest- it was forbidden obviously so that made it easier to get rid of the constant conversation surrounding her.
Her thoughts clouding her mind during her walk to the forbidden forest were loud. So she finally gave in and listened to them. She knew she hadn't been talking to her friends lately although the casual short conversation would come between them every now and then, the conversations were kept to an extent as if they knew she didn't want to talk.
But she didn't need anyone. She needed to get back herself first before anything.
Now Lorenzo the butterflies the name itself used to bring to her stomach. Remember those casual short conversations she had with her friends? Yeah those were definitely not happening between her and Lorenzo.
To think that one kiss could ruin years of friendship. But the way Katherine saw it- after a lot of thinking of course, it was an intoxicated kiss. One that should never have happened. The idea that if it never had happened spiraled through her mind. Where would she be? Would her life be easier? No shit it would be easier. Look where she is now. All alone in the forbidden forest.
Suddenly she heard giggling and whispered moans? Who the fuck- fucks in the forbidden forest? It almost took everything in her not to laugh. Doing so she tripped on a rock, not just any rock it was pretty big how the bloody hell did she not see it?
Speaking of blood, her leg was covered in it. A big gash was displayed for the world to see when was uncovered as she pulled down her knee- high sock.
"stupid rock" she muttered a little too loud because something or someone was walking towards her. She grabbed the stupid rock and turned it into a weapon. Although it was heavy that meant it would do some damage.
Hearing the mystery something coming she closed her eyes and threw it. Still on the floor she opened her eyes to be met with very familiar brown ones.
"Ow!! What the fuck!!" Lorenzo yelled.
"Oh my gosh, I- I'm sorry! I thought something was trying to hurt- or kill me!" She tried to get up but fell back due to the new injury on her leg.
"Katherine?" Lorenzo examined her with confusion then when his eyes met her injury that confusion was replaced by panic.
"Y- you're hurt" he finally said
"No shit dumb ass, can you just help me?" She said with desperation.
"Y-yeah just let me-" he said unsure how to how to help or get her up.
"I'm just gonna" he then lifted her up bridal style.
Katherines eyes went wide but quickly just scoffed.
"Can you hurry? Please?" She said wanting this absolute nightmare to be over.
"How did this even happen?" Lorenzo asked.
"I was trying to hold a laugh, but then tripped on a rock" she muttered.
"Ah the same rock that was thrown at me.. in the head?" He questioned
"Yes.. oh my! you- your head" concern took over her features and she touched the cut on his forehead.
He flinched at the touch. Realization struck her and she quickly took back her hand. He noticed too because he quickly turned away.
Then it all came back to her and she just thought how odd it was that they were normal for a little while. Although it must've only been a couple of minutes. It was nice. She missed it already. She hoped he did too because that would just be awkward.
They finally made it to the infirmary wing.
"Hey! Can I have some help?" Lorenzo said loud so someone could help.
Madam Pomfrey quickly made her way over to them.
"What in Merlins name happened to you two!" She asked guiding Lorenzo to a bed for Katherine.
"She tripped over a rock and- uhm.. as did I myself, she was not as lucky as me." He said not wanting Katherine or himself to get into any possible trouble for being in the forbidden forest.
"Alright thank you, find an open bed and sit yourself down, I'll be with you in a moment" she said, so he did as told even with his concerns for Katherine.
