Fur flew out of Gwen's mouth as she tried to get it out after Kingsley went with his tail along her mouth.

"I see Kingsley still adores you." Islay chuckled from Gwen's phone screen.

"And you, he only likes you and me," Gwen replied to her mother as Kingsley curled up on her lap.

"I know. It's why we love him so much," Islay smiled before turning serious. "Gwendoline, I have something to tell you."

"What is it—No!" Gwen exclaimed as she got distracted, again, and looked at the time.

"What is it?" Islay asked her daughter with concern.

"I'm late! It has to wait, mummy. I'll call you tomorrow same time, bye!" Gwen rambled quickly as she fell out of her chair and quickly put on her shoes and her jacket.

"Gwendoline, I—"

"Bye!" Gwen hung up as Kingsley looked her pissed, he just fell asleep on her lap. Gwen ran through the apartment with her bike keys and phone in her hand.

"What's the rush?" Colin asked her confused as Gwen kept running around like a headless chicken.

"I'm late, pip pip chirio!" She called back while racing through the door.

"I never say 'pip pip chiro'!" Colin called after her, but the brunette was already gone.

"Gwen, where are you?" Claudia asked her on the other line.

"I'm on my way right now. I got bloody distracted again, sorry." Gwen replied while unlocking her bike and paddling away.

"Hurry up, Kristy's pissed." Claudia chuckled.

"I could have guessed that, darling." Gwen sighed before hanging up and racing through the streets with her bag hanging from her arm as the wind blew her hair behind her. She reached the Kishi house and threw her bike down in the front yard and ran through the front door while removing her shoes which didn't look very easy.

"Are you okay?" Mimi asked her with a chuckle.

"Just brilliant," Gwen smiled back before running up the stairs out of breath. "I'm here, I'm queer and I'm late!" She exclaimed out of breath.

"What took you so long?" Kristy asked her with an angry expression.

"I was calling with my mum and got distracted," Gwen explained while letting herself fall in one of Claudia's chairs.

"Again?" Mary Anne asked her.

"I don't get distracted that often," Gwen scoffed but all the girls gave her a look. "Alright, maybe I do. But I'm here now, so I don't understand the fuss." She smiled and Kristy rolled her eyes while the others chuckled. The phone rang and Stacey stood up and picked it up.

"Hello, Baby-Sitters Club. She wants to talk to you, Mary Anne," Stacey handed the phone to Mary Anne and all the girls looked at her. Gwen eating a Kit Kat. They were one of the few sweets she also ate in England.

"Hello?" She was listening for a while and then replied. "I don't- No, I mean, yes. I'm free," The girls looked at her confused while Gwen didn't really care as she spoke to the mystery person. "I think," All the girls were really confused now, Gwen still didn't care.

"What are you doing?" Kristy mouthed to Mary Anne.

"But the thing is, I belong to a club of babysitters. So I'd have to check if any of them-" Everyone was waiting to see if she would say no. "What's your address?" Everyone sighed and Gwen sent her a small smile before turning back to look at the ceiling. "Thank you." With that, she hung up and all the girls looked at her kinda annoyed, all beside Gwen. "I shouldn't have done that."
