It was a quiet day in the Holmes apartment for once. No evil mothers, no siblings fighting, no confused or simping father. It was for once quiet... that was until Sam Thomas barged in.
"Colin Archibald Holmes!" He yelled as he threw open the door to the mentioned teen's room.
"Sam?" Colin asked very confusedly why his boyfriend was so angry and upset.
"Can you explain why you didn't tell me you're moving back to England?" Sam exclaimed, making Colin only more confused.
"What are you talking about?" He asked as he stood up from the chair he was sitting in.
"I can't believe you! How can you not tell me? I'm your boyfriend and you're leaving!" Sam rambled as Colin stayed confused. He needed Sam to stop talking, and so, he kissed his boyfriend, making him shut up.
"Can I talk now?" Colin asked when they parted.
"Yes," Sam mumbled.
"Good. Now, what in the bloody hell are you going on about?" Colin asked.
"You moving back to England," Sam replied logically.
"Sam, we're not moving back. Or moving at all." Colin said. And this time it was Sam's turn to be confused.
"You're not?" He asked.
"No. Who told you we were?" Colin replied.
"Kristy said that Mary Anne told her that Stacey told her that Gwen told Stacey," Sam explained, and then it clicked with Colin.
"Oh, Gwenny, what did you do?" He asked out loud as he rushed to his little sister's room, Sam behind him.
Gwen sat on her bed with Kingsley as she made some sketches in her sketchbook, enjoying the not long-lasting silence. Her door swung open and Colin walked in, quickly followed by Sam.
"Excuse me! Ever heard of bloody knocking? You're not our single queen Lizzy." Gwen exclaimed as she looked at her brother with a pissed look.
"Why did you tell Stacey we're moving back to England?" Colin shot back and all the colour just left Gwen's face. "Gwen, what happened?" Colin asked a bit more concerned as he sat down next to her and Sam sat on her other side.
"I panicked, okay! I'm sorry." Gwen exclaimed as guilt and shame took over her emotions.
"Why did you panic?" Sam asked her carefully.
"I was going to tell her how I feel but then she said she didn't like me and kissed a boy before I could and I just... I..." Gwen rambled as fear and panic-filled inside of her eyes.
"You panicked and told her we were moving back," Colin finished for her as he put his arm around her. "It's fine. Everything will be alright." He whispered.
"Why didn't you tell her it was a joke or something?" Sam asked the girl.
"It's stupid." She mumbled as Colin rubbed her back.
"You don't have to tell us, Gwenny." He smiled at her and then Sam got an idea.
"Hey, why don't you and Colin come by my place tomorrow. Just hang out by the pool and have a good time. And if you want, you can tell Kristy the truth." He suggested and Gwen thought about it. Starting by telling Kristy the truth would be nice.
"Yeah, I'd fancy that." She smiled while whipping away a tear.
"Alright then. Tomorrow will be the best day of your life, Gwendoline Holmes."
