"troubling task"- Gaara

I rub my eyes as my alarm goes off, I had just barely fallen asleep about an a hour ago. I wanted to try to get all of gaara's papers sorted like the Genin grade stuff separated from the jounin stuff. Plus on top of that I helped Kankuro figure out who should go on what missions. I wanted Gaara to have a calmer day then he he usually does. And I left him a letter on his desk, so hopefully he sees that-

I gets snapped out of my thoughts to a knock on my door, I groan and get out of bed. I open the front door to my apartment to make eye contact with Gaara. "Hello (y/n) how are you?", he says smiling softly at me.

"I'm good, you?", I laugh at his awkwardness.

"I'm well, would you like to go to work with me today? Like you can ride on the sand I take to-", I laugh at him.

"Yes I would let me go get prepared for work if that's okay.", he stares at me and looks me up and down.

"Are you gonna just do your hair? Cause you already have work clothes on.", my body stiffens I could have sworn I had changed out of my work clothes.

I sigh and take his hand making I'm come into my apartment, "no sorry these are the clothes I wore yesterday to work I didn't change." I rub my eyes and feel arms wrap around me gently almost if I was a piece of fine China. I lean into the hug and close my eyes if me and Gaara didn't have to go to work I would love to stay like this all day but we can't and I pull away and look at Gaara both of us making eye contact. "Let me go get ready then we can head off okay?"

He nod and goes to sit on my couch after a few minutes, I walk out in fresh work clothes. "Okay I think I'm ready, and I think I have a everything", I say patting my skirt pockets.

"Okay then I'll go outside and we can stop to get our lunch while heading there.", he says staring at me.

I smile and nod and as he sets out the door.

At work :) —— ——

I sigh and lay my head down on the front desk, I hear the door open and my head shoots it from the desk. "Hello what can I help you with?", I say smiling to the young girl in front of me and two boys trail in after her.

"We need to speak to the kazekage", she says standing on her toes to seem taller then she is.

"Oh? Why? Sorry but you don't seem to have an adult or a nin teacher.", I say smiling at the girl. She scoffs and glares at me.

"We need to go in. I'll force past you if I have to.", I laugh at the small girl whom is trying to get to Gaara.

"Try it", I smile at her and I stand up and stand infront of the door, "I'll stand here till one you have an adult or a ninja teacher, or you come back with a note from your teacher", I cross my arms and keep my ground.

"Fine. Torru go get the dumb note from our teacher.", I smile as the smallest boy shuffles to the door before turning and running towards me and full speed. I sigh and I change the ground and trip the kid.

"No means no sorry.", I feel the door behind me open slightly and Gaara pokes his head out.

"What are you three doing here you should be finding kara's lost kitten.", he says opening the door fully. The small girl shrinks.

"Well about the cat it went out of the village boundaries and-", Gaara sighs and rubs his temple then shoos them away.

"(Y/n) will you go get the cat really quickly please so I can get back to work.", I nod and start to walk away but he pulls me back and hugs me gently.

"I really want hugs from you too but you need to get back to work. I'll see you in a minute, love you.", I pull out of the hug and ruffle his hair.

"God being kazekage is a troubling task by its self.", he said slumping down before entering his office once again.
