Belle was one of the only survivors in her country. She wasn't surviving a war, no. Actually, you could consider this a war. Though it wasn't between man and man; it was against man and some kind of inhuman creatures.
Traveling with Doctor and her friend, Ally, makes everything better. The difficulties don't dissolve, though. Travel along with Doctor, Belle and Ally as they face these troubles together.
