"Please rise & state your case"
Peter rose slowly, his feeble frame straining to maintain composure under his weak knees.
"I am case 193621"
"Mr. Johnson read-out what the defendant is accused of"
"Yes sir, 2 counts of violent speech and 1 count of breaking regulations."
Mr. Johnson spoke quickly, laying out the prosecution with cold callous prose, that did not betray his disdain for Peter.
"Case 193621 was seen twice espousing views countering prevailing doctrine of the E.M. 39624 and Protection Initiative 39"
The weight of these criminal accusations made Peters frame buckle. He had never been to court before. He usually tried to stay out of any sort of trouble, but these day's it was hard to discern between what was trouble and what was normal.
"Case 193621, are you aware that you broke section E.M. 39624 of the Potsdam agreement"
"No"
"You also broke the Protection Initiative 39, established to protect koalas from anime women, correct?"
"Excuse me?"
"Do you deny that Koalas must be protected from anime women?"
Peter's knees continued to give way; he had not heard such language before. He was confused, alone, and scared, the prosecution against him was starting to eat at his knees.
"No"
"Then why did you break the Initiative?"
"What initiative?"
Flying from nowhere, Mr. Johnson practically hurdled Peter's question.
"Initiative 39 is to protect Koalas from Anime women; it was part of the Global alliance to eliminate Chakra. Any self-respecting citizen would know that!"
The wolves across the room continued to eat at Peter's knees. Undercutting any dignity, he ever had.
"Okay, I will keep that in mind"
"Case 193621, how do you plead in the face of these accusations against you?
Peter's frame revived a little, he had a chance. To combat the fate, he was given. His knees braced for his defiance.
"That I am a Human, not an Anime Women"
The laugh that followed, rolled over the air like a plague. It was the laugh that was a confirmation of some inside joke. The laugh was uncomfortable, but it was a defense mechanism, to separate someone from the one who gave the comment.
Peter's knees finally gave way as he heard the laugh, he clung to the floor in quiet desperation
"Case 193621, we know you are not an anime woman, but your reproach upon koalas has denied your humanity. The accused is guilty of all charges and sentenced to reeducation and life in prison.
Peter was carried off to await his fate with little fanfare or sympathy.
