Chapter 22: War Declaration

As the Sun began to rise the 4 Commanders approached HQ from different directions each mounted on something. The 4 Generals sounded the alarms as if they were being invaded and every soldier from the Imperial Army stationed in the courtyard where they were to meet once they completed their tasks. They were escorting the King and The Great General Nox alongside Teo.

"Looks Like they are back." Teo says.

"Indeed, lets see how well they faired, I can assure you it wouldnt be No easy task for their Bea-" Miho says as they spot the Nubis beast approaching from the front entrance with Xenon on its shoulder.

"What the hell....is that?" the king says.

"Its the Nubis, I thought you ordered him to bring back the head?" Teo says.

"We did, but some how he managed to form a pact with that beast." Susanoo says.

As Xenon approaches, Nubis kneels to the ground and reaches up to his shoulder as Xenon hops on to his hand and lowers him to the ground.

"Why all the surprised looks?" Xenon says.

"How on earth did you manage to tame nubis, its close to impossible." Griggs says.

"Not impossible, you just didn't know the whole truth to that story about it." Nox says.

"what do you mean?" Miho says.

"He means, only those who Nubis deems worthy then and only then will he acknowledge you, but if your not worthy then you will meet your end, you mean to tell me not even the 4 generals of Vormyr couldn't even figure that out?" Teo says as he mocks them.

"Watch your tongue." Lahpoint says.

"Or You will do what? You'll be dead before you even hit the ground." Teo says.

"Enough!." the king says.

From the distance they could hear screeching but those screeches turns into multiple roars. Nero was approaching on one of the 2 wyverns he had taken control over. Once he is over head the wyverns began to circle around the courtyard.

"Looks like Nero is back." Griggs says.

Nero leaps off the wyverns back and nose dives to the ground and lands directly in the middle of everyone. Nero sends the 2 wyverns to go to Valyrion.

"Did anyone listen to our specific instructions?" Lahpoint says.

"No, Not really because your instructions were for us to prove our worth it was for your own personal gain." Nero says as he turns his back to the generals to join along side his father.

"What is that suppose to mean." Miho says.

"Its simple, you wanted us to hunt these beast so you could make more powerful weapons for yourselves and boost your strength but why waste so much potential on that." Ark says the King of Serpants slithers its way through courtyard circling everyone including Nubis.

"Is that, the king of serpants?" Teo says.

"Indeed it is." Ark says.

" Not Bad, I didn't expect you to Tame one of the 5 Greater Beast in the world. Not bad Noobie." Teo says.

"Is that right? I knew he had it in him, but how he found and obtained it is the weird part because I thought the Serpant king was a direct servant of one of the 4 pillars of Creation Baba Yaga." Nero says.

"Wait...you mean to tell me you encountered her and survived?" Griggs says as the 4 Generals exchanges looks.

"I did, but it was more of a test then it was a fight because in a battle she clearly has the edge over me because not only is she powerful she is highly intelligent, and knows things before they happen so the out come of that battle would of been already decided before I even stepped foot in that forest" Ark says.

"Just as a I thought, Im guessing she told you about how she knew your father did she not?" Nox says.

"How did you..?" Ark says with a surprised look on his face.

"I knew your father, a close friend of mine to be exact, He was fearless and one of the most powerful tamers i've ever seen. Unlike most tamers he had a rare ability to harness the power of souls, any warrior that he felled in battle he could take their soul and use their abilities at will." Nox says as he opens the palm of his hand and conjures up a magic screen showing everyone a image of Arks father. A man with short silver hair often oriented to his left-side, dark grey eyes with a relaxed and lazy expression.

Ark hasn't seen his father since he was 3, his father was pronounced dead after the out break that happen between the former King and Queen, But his body was never recovered so it could be buried with the rest of Arks Ancestors and the rest of the villagers.

" I see....but how does she know him." Ark says.

"For a while she was the one who actually taught him how to use soul magic, I know this because I was going to meet him to train and he was greeted by a old woman in a black robe I couldn't see her face but he magic power was just felt other worldly. After that I don't think they met again because he trained with her long before we met apparently." Nox says as he closes his hand.

"Thats....great and all but, I haven't seen my father since I was like 3 so if he's dead or not you would think he would of came home if he was but since his body was never found it doesn't matter to me anymore." Ark says.

"Wow so cold hearted, that snake of yours has given you a back bone." Blaze says as his golem lowers blaze to the ground and meets the others.

"I've always had one." ark says.

"I believe you, Im just teasing you." Blaze laughs as he slaps arks shoulder.
  "Alright alright back to important manners" Griggs says
  "It seems we have under estimated your strengths. You 4 are worthy of being our commanders now you will all have to prove your worths to us once we conquered our rivals. Do that and you will be rewarded handsomely." The king says.

"As interesting as that may be why not, just send the 4 of them to conquer the kingdom, instead of wasting good soldiers, just send them and it will be done" Teo says.
"They would need to deal with the other war generals, aren't you worried about that." Lahpoint says.
"Oh please, we don't our soldiers just send me and Ark and consider it done." Nero suggests.
"Nero, are you thinking of doing that?" Nox says
"Indeed, I think it's about time." Nero says.

"What is he referring too?" Miho says.

"You'll find out soon enough" Nero says as he and everyone else began to head back to HQ.

Everyone but the generals, and the king knew what he was referring to. Everyone immediately went back to HQ to prepare for the invasion.
