Chapter 18: Imperial Army

    Nero then ascends to the sky holding out one hand towards their location and creating massive fully powered dark red and black sphere with a red sphere inside of the original one. Just before Nero was about to fire it the king calls off the match before things get worse. Nero makes the sphere disappear and descends to the ground and returns to his normal state and they are all transported back to the middle of the arena.

"Thats enough...." Chancellor says.

"what the hell....he had the match won." Teo says.

"I don't know what's going on." Nox says.

"I can't stand to watch this anymore...I decided to rule this match a draw." Chancellor says.

      "You all, have fought very well." Chancellor says.

"Why did you stop the match!" Blaze says.

"I couldn't risk it, it seem liked you all were trying to kill each other. As much as I would enjoy to see the match to the end it's too risky for me to lose my 4 New Commanders." Chancellor says and the crowd stands on their feet and starts clapping.

  "Commanders?" Ark says.

 "Yes, as I conclude this tournament the winner(s) would join the ranks of my army and I am adding all 4 of you, your strengths and knowledge about the battle field says enough. We will have to send you to the Academy first to be properly trained unless you feel like your up for the challenge and just get into your new line of work." Chancellor says.

  "Hmm I see.." Blaze says.

"I think I can speak for everyone when I say this, we don't need training as you clearly just seen we are more then prepared." Ark says.

   Everyone nods in agreement and Chancellor looks at them with a smile.

"Good, Since it's only 6pm we can introduce you to your Generals." Chancellor says.

 "Alright lets get on with this." Blaze says.

  Nox pulls Nero to the side and whispers in his ear. "Keep a close eye on the king." Nero nods and proceeds to follow the King and the others.

  "What did you tell him sir?" Teo says.

"I told him to keep a close eye on the king, that's all because sooner or later Nero will decide he wants his throne and he will eventually take it. Don't get me wrong the king was a former general so he is no slouch when it comes to battle but I don't think he's been training since his new position." Nox says.

  "If thats the case then it will be like taking candy from a baby especially with us by his side." Teo says.

 " Indeed." Nox says.

  The king lead the 4 new recruits to the Imperial Army HQ where they would meet their new team. Once they see the doors open everyone there turned their attention to the 4 of them, the 3 acting Generals were intrigued by them all as he could sense a lot of power from each and everyone of them, and they spotted Agnis who was behind Ark.

  "Are these them?" General Griggs says.

"Yes, These are your new Commanders. Ark, Xenon, Blaze and Nero." Chancellor says but that sparks a lot of commotion between everyone and they didn't like the fact that the new recruits were placed higher up in ranking them majority of them.

"Alright settle down everyone, I'm sure you can't sense their magic because they are suppressing it but if any of you have watched the tournament you would know what these 4 are capable of. Which I'm sure none of you have because you were all to busy thinking so low of them that they would be nobodies but, Ill show you the highlights of the finals." General Griggs says.

  General Griggs snaps his fingers creating a magic screen that appears in the middle of the room and replays the Final match from the tournament, Mostly showing the highlights of the match. A few minutes went by and after watching that they all suddenly changed their minds about how they felt about them. 

   "But since you all are curious on how strong they are, we will test them by using the combat power scaler." Griggs says.

 "I think that would be best." Chancellor says.

"What is the highest someone has scored? or is it scaled on ranks?" Nero says.

 "The thing is we rank people based on their base combat power and put them in their appropriate ranks. Since you all are commanders you combat power must be between 400,000 - 600,000 Now all you have to do is touch it and it will measure your combat power." Griggs says.

 "I see, so what would a general be?" Blaze says.

  "A generals combat power would usually range from 5 million - 20million depending on the users capabilities." Nox says as he walks up and touches to power scaler and it shows up as 40 million.

  Everyone in the room is shocked but it is no surprise because Nox is the Great General of Vulheim which is the highest rank in the Imperial Army.

 "General Nox...what a surprise." Griggs says.

"Im just here spectating don't worry. Carry on." Nox says as he stands with his back against the wall along side Teo.

  "Ok..who wants to go first?" Griggs says.

 "I will." Xenon says as he walks up to the Power scaler and places his palm on top of it and his Combat power comes up to be 2,536,300. Chancellor and Griggs eyes widen as Xenon's combat power could possible rival a generals. Everyone in the room is shocked except for Ark, Blaze, Nero, Teo and Nox.

 "Impressive, I must say my lord you have chosen well." Griggs says as Xenon walks back to his original spot.

 "Indeed." Chancellor says.

"Alright who's next?" Griggs says.

 "I'll go." Ark says as he walks up to the scaler and places a palm on top of it and his combat power comes up to 2,745,800. Nox is impressed that Ark was actually stronger then Xenon, not by much but still impressive.

   "Wow I'm really impressed, you sure you want to rank these 2 as just commanders my lord?" Griggs says.

 "Hmm lets finish this first then ill think about it." Chancellor says.

  Blaze immediately walks up to the power scaler and places his palm on the top of it and his power scaler comes up 2,835,250. Shortly after Nero walks up and does the same and his combat power comes up to 2,900,000. The 4 of them are not that far off from each other in terms of power but it all comes down to their skill.

 "Commander would be a fitting role for these 4 anyway because they have no experience in the army so this will be their chance to show what they are made of. Until then will we discuss promotions but until then they will stay as commanders." Chancellor says as he and his guards escort him back to his office.

  "Now that, that is settled we will discuss everything in the morning we will show you, your new living quarters." Griggs says. 

  "alright." They all say in unison.

 As they all turn their backs 4 of the armies Captains try to take sneak attack the 4 new recruits to see if they are worthy of them leading them. Blaze turns and grabs one of them by the face and smashes them into the ground. Agnis pounces on one of them as Ark looks out the corner of his eye as Agnis pins him down and roars in his face to scare them. Xenon performs a spinning back kick striking the other in the face sending him crashing into the tables. The last one tries to attack Nero by performing a round house kick while Nero back is turned as his foot was about to connect with his face Nero catches it with his right hand. 

 "Idiot." Nero says as he breaks his ankle and grabs his thigh tossing him over his head and performs a spinning back kick striking him in the midsection as he fell in mid air sending him crashing into the wall.

  "Anyone else wanna try that again?" Nero says.

 "Didn't think so." Blaze says as No one in the room said a word and just let them leave. while the generals were all impressed by how well they handled that they could tell immediately that they would do well.
