First year as an animal hybrid (dream smp Glenwood Prep au)

~Chapter One: Getting Ready~

Glenwood prep is a very special school where one of the biggest scientific breathroughs came about. Ever since the first group, it's become the biggest evolution for society. This year I get to go to Glenwood and take the next big step in my life. I'm the last person in my family to take the life changing test. My dad was a part of one of the earliest groups, being pared with an eagle and he now has large and elegent wings. My older brothers took their tests two years ago. Techno being paired with a pig and Wilbur being paired with a ferret.

"Tommy are you almost ready?" I hear being shouted from downstairs. "Yeah, almost." Quickly I pack up the last of the things I will need for the year and sigh. I look around my bedroom that I have lived in my entire life. This year I finally get to see what animal I would be paired with. I hope it's something big and strong like a great lion. My only worry is what if the procedure goes wrong. I know that it hasn't had any huge incidents in decades but all I can think is what if.

I take one last moment to check everything and see if I have everything I will need. "Hey, Tommy. I would suggest you hurry, Techno is getting to the point where he is contemplating leaving you here." I turn to see Wilbur standing behind me. "Yeah, yeah I know. I'm just making sure I haven't left anything I might need." Wilbur starting looking through everything to check if I had all I need. I couldn't help but laugh "Well Tommy it seems you have everything and that we can start taking it to the car. Except this," I look over to see him holding my old stuffed cow, "I don't believe you would want to take this old thing with you."

"Wilbur are you crazy." I proceed to snatch the toy cow out of his hand. "Of course I'm taking Henry with me." Wilbur just chuckles and walks out of my room. I grab my school bag and put Henry inside of it. I head lit of my room but turn around to take one last look. I know that I'm not leaving forever but seeing everything in boxes makes me emotional. "TOMMY NOW OR NEVER! " The yelling from my brother Techno caused me to jump and hit my head slightly on the door frame. "IM COMING" With my school bag on my shoulder and a large bag with my clothing in my hand I head down the stairs.

"Well it's about time. Come on Tommy we are going to be late." My brothers and I headed out to the car and we all got in. I threw all my stuff in the back from my seat behind Wilbur. After driving for about ten minutes we stopped outside of a house I did not recognize. "What are we doing here, shouldn't we be heading to the school?" I look over to my brothers. "Well Tommy, if you actually got ready on time this morning you would know why we are here." Techno spoke in deadpan. I slouch in my seat in defeat, mostly because I don't feel like arguing with Techno right  now. "Ok, he's coming out now, " I looked at Wilbur to see what he was talking about when the drivers door opened and Techno stepped out.

He opened the trunk of the car and mover my stuff around to make more room. I feel my phone buzz and see a message from my dad asking if we picked up "tihu" yet. I'm assuming that he wrote that in a rush because I don't know "tihu". " Wilbur do you know what dad means by this?" I go to hand him my phone when the back door of the car opens and I see my best friend Toby enter the car. "TOBY." I shout aloud in excitement. "TOMMY" He shouted back. He sits down and buckles himself into the seat. "Hey Techno, quick question. Am I allowed to eat my cereal in here?" I chuckle at him. Toby always seems to have some food on him at all times. "Yeah sure, just don't make a mess."

We sat in the car listening to Wilbur's music as we made out way up to Glenwood Prep. I have seen the school many before but seeing Toby's eyes go wide when he saw the school for the first time made me laugh. The school was an amazing sight to see. It was magnificent. I could not believe that I was going to be spending the year here. New friends and all the stories we will make. This is going to be a good year.
