"We're here!" Mom announces just as she pulls up to a cream—white—colored, with black accents all over, cape-cod looking house. Big windows surrounds the house, an elevated wide front porch protecting the front door, a huge driveway, and a beautiful landscaped front yard. This house is massive.

A month ago, my mother and her three years of boyfriend—now her husband— tied the knot. I couldn't deny the fact that Daniel was a very wealthy man but I really did not expect him to be this wealthy to buy a massive house to live with two people for the rest of his life.

Daniel has always been sweet to me and especially to my mother. I couldn't be more happier that my mom has finally found her forever half to spend the rest or her life with. Knowing how happy my mom is, I couldn't possibly take that away from her and I had no reason for her to go against her choices in life. Daniel was more of a father to me than my own biological father. My dad, let's just say he never loved me the way my stepfather do.

As soon as my mom and Daniel got married, he wanted us to move in all together in one house, so he can finally say that we're a family of three now. It always warms my heart to know how much Daniel truly cares for my mom and for me. I aspire to find someone, as amazing as Daniel is. He even asked me for my permission if he could ask my mothers hand and I knew that it would mean the world to my mother, so I said yes right away.

I step out of the car, gawking at the big house in front of us. Feeling all excitedly, I quickly ran up to Daniel and wrap my arms around his torso, he chuckles as he returns the gesture, while my mom joined us, as we stare at our new house where new memories awaits us.

"I'm so glad to be finally home. Home to the only angels I have in my life. My mom would be so happy if she were here." Daniel spoke softly, as I felt him tighten his embrace around us. I look up to him and smile before looking back into our home.

"She would've loved to meet you Dahlia. She would beam to know that she finally has a granddaughter." Daniel tells me as he looks down to me with adore, clouding his eyes. I nod my head as I felt him rub my  back softly.

"I know honey. I wish I could've met her, so she knows her son is in good hands." My mom, plants a kiss on Daniel's cheek before leaning her head back on his shoulder.

We spent the rest of the day unloading our stuff into our new home. The outside was spectacular but I couldn't really compare the inside because it was just pure bliss and beauty. It felt so much safer and happier to be inside this lovely home. I got to choose my room and put away my things for the moment. Daniel told me awhile ago that I can change anything I want with my room anytime soon, which made me very excited and happy since I've always dreamed of personally designing my own space and to be given the freedom to do it, I would gladly do so.

As I was unloading the last few boxes from the truck that we have rented, I found a big box left inside, not really realizing how heavy it was, I tried lifting it but I just really couldn't and have been so tired from doing the same thing for hours now. I tried again, multiple times but I just can't seem to lift it up. I sigh sitting down on the edge of the truck, with my feet dangling over it as my shoulders slump.

"Stupid box, it's the last one but it doesn't want me to carry it out of this truck!" I huff, shaking my head in disbelief as I look back to the only box thats left, throwing daggers before looking down at my shoes.
