CHAPTER 13
𝐂𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐘 𝐀𝐏𝐏𝐋𝐄𝐒

"ah, i'm so nervous" kyoka said as she felt her heart beat faster than ever. it was finally the school festival, the place was crowded. you didn't think much people would come here since it was only first years performing, but you were wrong. now you were getting nervous.

"kyoka, your making me more nervous" you mumbled, fiddling your fingers as you felt your breath tightened a bit. which cause kyoka to slightly panicked and reassured that you are fine.

both of you finally calmed down, just on time when the curtains opened. then you saw eri on mirio's shoulders.

'i'm definitely ready'

'she smiled' you thought as you saw eri with a big smile on her face. you felt your eyes sting, knowing damn well you we're tearing up. you lowered your head as you felt small droplets of tears coming out your eyes.

you still kept playing, a quivering smile went up your face. this was noticed by momo. she never seen you smiled, you only showed your emotions through your aura, or little stars dancing around you, but she has never seen you smile before, well midoriya has but before the 'incident'. 

'we're finally done' you thought as you felt sweat coming down your forehead, and dry tears on your tears. kyoka finished her song, which was really good, and thanked everyone for coming. the curtains closing, making you take a breather.

everyone was glad the performance went well, which made them get off the stage and walk around the festival. all of you went on games and small rides, which was really fun.

suddenly someone tapped your shoulder, midoriya. "hm? what can i do for you izu?" you asked as you faced him. he put his finger over your mouth which was a 'shh' motion. you nodded your head, as he moved his finger back and held you hand so he could guide you.

you felt some butterflies dance in your stomach, and your cheeks heating up.

"candy apples?" you said as you held a box full of instructions on how to make candy apples. midoriya nodded his head, while sato was getting the ingredients. 

"i thought that eri would like some since she likes sweets.. but it's okay if you don't want too!" he stuttered out, his hands waving as his cheeks were covered in a light shade of red.

"sure, i don't mind" you placed the box down and smiled a bit. it caused midoriya to be surprised. sato was preparing everything, so he didn't noticed, but midoriya had an urge to see that smile on replay but he composed himself.

"a-all right! let's do it" he stuttered as you softly put your fist up making a 'mhp' noise.

it was already the end of the day, meaning the festival was over. luckily both you and midoriya could say goodbye to eri, since she's in the teacher's dorm to keep an eye for her.

eri looked sad that she had to go, until midoriya pulled out a candy apple. "surprise" he said, as eri had stars in her eyes.

"huh? how did you guys get one?! we looked all over the place but they ran out" mirio said, as he saw the candy apple.

"me and (y/n) made it" he explained which caused mirio to understand. eri took a bite out of it which caused her to smile.

"it's sweet!"

"izu you got something on you face" you said, as he faced you. he checked his face with his hand trying to find that something.

"what do i have?"

"beauty"
