CHAPTER 04 𝐓𝐄𝐒𝐓
A few weeks later
Here you are on the floor, holding onto Eri. Confused? Well, you were now in trapped in a room. Thankfully they let Eri stay with you.
The reason you were trapped was because you saw the 'documents' on the table. In all honesty, you thought it had something to due with work. Now you regretted that decision.
You snapped out of your thoughts when you felt a small hand clutch your white shirt. "What's going on?" Eri said, obviously shaken up. You tried to make up an excuse.
"We... We're playing hide-n-seek...?" You stuttered. It sounded more of a question, than an actual sentence. Eri smiled a bit, while you let out a small smile. That was the last smile you got from Eri, including yourself.
The door opened to reveal Kai, the man who started this. "I'm going to borrow Eri for a bit. (Y/n), you stay here" He said, carrying Eri in his arms. She tried to stop him, but he way to strong for her.
Now you were all alone in a dark room. You were pretty scared of what they would do to you. Would they torture you? Use you? Kill you? You shaked your head, due to the last one. But you were still scared of what they can do to you.
Someone opened the door which caught your attention. Someone in a white cloak, the hood on, with a plague mask. He looked at your direction, making you tense. "I'm not going to hurt you.. for now" He muttered the last part, but you heard it anyways.
"What are you going to do?" You asked shakily. A small sigh escaped his mouth. "We're going to test you" You were obviously confused from his choice of words. He walked towards you, and lightly grabbed your arm.
"Where are we going?" You asked a little too quickly. You were obviously panicking from the kind gesture he gave you. "We're just going into a better room, that's all" He said, pushing your arm upwards a little.
You decided to stand up, since you were sitting. Plus, he is way stronger than your fragile body. He dragged you lightly, making you walk a little faster than usual because of his legs. You both went down the white hallway, making some turns.
Then you realized you don't know his name. You sighed, still being dragged. "What's your name?" You asked. If you're staying here for a while, might as well learn each others names, right?
"Call me... Chronostasis" He said, a little hesitant. You nodded, and tried to say your name but he cut you off. "I know your name, (Y/n), right?" You were shocked, but at the same time you weren't. They probably told him a few days ago.
You hummed in agreement, then he stopped. He opened a white door, that he had trouble with, inside had minimal supplies in there. You were confused, then he pushed you inside the room. He locked the room making you trapped inside.
"Don't panic, this is just a test. I would want you to try to unlock this door, okay?" You nodded, but then you forgot he can't see you. You sighed, and stared at the room. The supplies weren't much.
Just a wired hanger, a screwdriver, some ripped cloth, a stuffed teddybear, broken glass, along with a hammer. The doorknob had a small hole for the key, which made it slightly harder for you. You went over to the supplies and analyzed them.
'Okay... since the hole will probably be for a key to unlock it. So I would need something small. The wired hanger can change it's shape, but how?'
You grabbed the hanger, and set it on the floor. You also grabbed the screwdriver, and put your foot on top the hanger. You undid the hanger, which is now in a 'L' shape. Took you a few minutes to get it 'almost' straight.
You got the hammer, grabbed the hanger, and went to the locked door. You placed the hanger inside; deepening it with the hammer, until a 'click' sound was audible. The door slowly opened, revealing Chronostatsis leaning on the wall with a timer in hand.
"Not bad. 19 minutes. That'll be it for today" He said, walking over to you. You nodded, and felt him grab your arm lightly like before. He dragged you back to the room, where you were before. This time Eri was there.
He shoved you in the room, and locked the door. There was a dim light for you to be able to see. You noticed that Eri had bandages on her arms and legs. You immediately hugged her, which made her cry.
She started saying gibberish, while you rubbed her back. "What did they do Eri?" You asked, trying to choke out a sob. Eri explained everything, and how they treated her.
You were in pure rage. You didn't think they'd do this to your little sister.
