Chapter One "The Destination"

It was 5:00 A.M, and I was on the plane. 'Damn. Why did it have to take so long to arrive?' I thought to myself silently as I listened to the plane engine purr. I took out my favourite manga 'To love a Demon' as ironic as it was, I was on the plane ride to True Cross Academy in Japan to train to be an exorcist. After both my mother and father died because of the slaughter of Satan. But, it was my favourite manga so I continued to read.

"Lana, please, you are my only love, despite the demon inside me, I love you."

'Pshh, as if demons could love.' I facepalmed at the thought as I continued to read.

"Please fasten your seat belts, we are about to land." The plane announcer spoke, causing my head to shoot up. I swore at myself for getting so worked up. I was nervous though. I wasn't sure if everyone at the school would be friendly. Well, who am I kidding, of course not.

I fastened my seat belt, holding onto the sides of the seat for support as we landed. I stared out of the plane window as we did so. It was still dark so I couldn't see much but grass and buildings. The plane rumbled and shook as it landed on the airway strip. I let out a deep sigh, glad to have finally arrived.

The plane landed at a halt, causing me to jut forward, luckily I was holding onto the seat arms for support. 'Ugh. Just get me off of here already.' I angrily growled at myself, half asleep.

I groggily stepped off of the platform of the plane, careful not to trip and faceplant down the stairs. It was dark outside, too dark to notice any of my whereabouts though. The taxi had arrived, waiting for me. I held my bags firmly in my hands. 'Was I really doing this? Of course I was. I was going to make my parents proud.' And with that, I stepped into the taxi, heading to True Cross Academy.
