Elsa burst into the courtyard. She was full of fear, now that her secret was out. Her kingdom would think she was a monster, What if she hurt somebody? Regardless, soon everyone in Arendelle would know about her powers.

All the villagers in the courtyard greeted their new queen. Not knowing what had just happened inside. "There she is!" a townsman cried, excited to see their new queen. "Long live queen Elsa!" shouted another villager. Elsa had a look of terror on her face, one of the village women noticed, "Are you all right, your majesty?" she asked very concerned about the young queen. She reminded Elsa of her mother, which filled Elsa with heart ache, longing to look to her parents for guidance.

Elsa slowly backed away from the women, bumping into the fountain behind her. As she gripped the edge of the fountain the water froze in midair. The whole court yard gasped in fear, then began to run away from Elsa.

The Duke shouted "There she is!" as his guards followed close behind. They were running down the steps toward Elsa, "Get her!" he demanded.

"Just stay away from me! Stay away!" Elsa cried.

She held up her hands, causing the castle steps to engulf in ice. Making the Duke and his guards to slip and fall to the ground.

"Monster!" the Duke hissed.

The crowd of villagers were all in a panic, a whirl of icy air traveled through the kingdom as Elsa ran in fear, leaving snow in her wake. She cut through the back of the castle and continued to run until she came to the fjord.

"Elsa!" Anna called, "Please wait!" She rushed from the castle after her sister, crying out her name desperately.

Elsa looked behind her, she continued to back up, as her foot touched the water. The fjord instantly froze, she took another cautious step... and another sheet of ice formed underneath her foot.

"Elsa!" Anna called after her sister again.

Feeling her panic grow, Elsa sprinted across the fjord. With each step more water froze. Soon enough she was moving as fast as she could, heading toward the snowy mountains on the other side of the fjord. As she ran across the fjord the visiting ships locked into place, held by a thick sheet of ice. What started out as a beautiful summer's day was ending in a fierce winter storm.

"Elsa! Stop!" Anna pleaded, but she was too far behind to catch up to her sister. Hans reached out for Anna and helped her back to the castle, "Anna are you alright?" he asked.

"Did you know?" Hans asked Anna

"No," Anna replied. She then thought aloud, "But it would explain so much."

They walked back to the courtyard, and overheard the Duke speaking to the people of Arendelle. "The queen has cursed this land!" he said. "She must be stopped!" He turned to one of his guards, "You, you must go after her!"

Anna rushed over to him. "No!" she shouted. "No one is going anywhere."

"You!" the Duke hid behind one of his guards, "Is there sorcery in you too?" he shouted "Are you a monster too?"

"No, I'm completely ordinary," Anna replied.

Hans placed his hand on Anna shoulders, "Yes, Yes she is!" He told the Duke. Then looked back at Anna, "In the best way," in defense of his last comment.

"And my sister is no monster," Anna added.

The Duke glared at her, "she nearly killed me!" he said dramatically.

"You slipped on ice," Hans pointed out.

Anna stepped forward, "It was an accident. She was scared, she didn't mean it, and she didn't mean any of this!" She paused. "All she has ever wanted is to be good, and perfect, so one day people would look up to her as queen. Tonight was my fault. I pushed her. So I'm the one who needs to go after her."

Anna walked to a castle guard. "Bring me my horse, please."

"What? Anna no! It's too dangerous!" Hans shouted.

"I'm not afraid of Elsa," Anna assured him. "I'll bring her back and make this right again."

One of the royal guards brings Anna her horse, and her cloak. Which she wrapped around her shoulders.

"I'm coming with you!" Hans demanded.

"No," Anna told him, "I need you here, to watch over Arendelle."

Hans saw the plead in Anna's eyes and could hear the desperation in her voice, he put his hand to his chest.

"On my honor." He said, bowing his head.

"I leave prince Hans in charge!" Anna told the crowd.

"Are you sure you can trust her?" Hans asked Anna, who was mounted on her horse. When Anna didn't reply, he leaned in a little close. "I don't want you getting hurt."

"She's my sister," Anna replied. "She would never hurt me."

Nudging her horse forward, into a gallop, Anna took off over the frozen fjord toward the mountains Elsa ran into.

>********^********<

Elsa scaled up the steep North Mountain. The sky was a dark blue, the snow glowing white, and not a foot print to be scene. Ever since she was a child, she was taught to conceal, don't feel, don't let them know. Well now they Knew!

She could finally let it go, and be herself. "Let the storm rage on! The cold never bothered me anyway!" Sang Elsa. As she looked back at Arendelle she continued, "its funny how some distance, makes everything seem small, and the fears the once controlled me, can't get to me at all! It's time to see what I can do, to test the limits and break through! Nor right no wrong, no rules for me! I'm free!" Elsa shouted with relief.

With a wave of her hand, she began to see what her magic could do. Snow and ice whirled around her as she created a snowman, and beautiful patterns in the air. The farther away she got from Arendelle the more confidant she felt. As she took each step, her abilities drew forth more ice and the cold grew stronger and more powerful.

Elsa plucked the crown off of her head and tossed it to the side, letting her blonde hair fall from a tight bun, into a beautiful thick, wavy braid. Twirling around, she conjured up an elegant crystal blue gown, with a long flowing vale made of frost crystals. Ice was her element. She was the snow queen!

Relieved to let her powers loose at last, Elsa found she could do much more than she realized. As she released her magic, a staircase of ice was created, leading to a ravishing crystal palace made of ice that grew with just the raise of her arms!

This is where she would live, where she could be free, "I'm never going back! The past is in the past!" she sang with pleasure. As the sun began to rise, the pink purple of the sky engulfed her ice castle, reflecting bright colors every which direction, she walked out onto her balcony, overlooking the rise of a new day, she sang "I'll rise like the break of dawn! Let it go! Let it go! That perfect girl is gone! Here I stand, and here I'll stay, let the storm rage on! The cold never bothered me anyway." She turned and slammed the door. She was home at last.
