Hans and the group of men were partially up the mountain already. Some of the men road horses, some walked alongside them. All of the guards carried their swards on them, but the Dukes men carried cross bows.

As the men headed up the mountain, the snow storm grew stronger with each step. Some of the horses refused to continue into the storm so a few men had to make a base camp, to wait for the rest of the group to get back.

Further up the mountain, prince Hans led the rest of the men, up the cliffs and around the gorges. Eventually reaching the top, where Elsa's ice palace sat. Hans turned around to face the men as they all gasped in awe at the marvelous structure. "We are only here to find princess Anna," he reminded them. "Be on guard, but no harm must come to the queen." He ordered.

Hans began to lead the men up the ice staircase, when out of nowhere the ground shuck beneath them, and the huge mound of snow next to the stairs, rose, revealing himself. "Snow monster!" one of the men yelled.

Marshmallow refused to move away from the entrance to the palace. That didn't stop the men, they pressed forward. Marshmallow acted quickly, and violently, shoving the men to the ground. Hans, who managed to doge the strike, rolled underneath Marshmallow's legs to safety. He stood up and quickly grabbed his sword.

Elsa was still trying to control her powers, when she heard all the commotion outside. She ran to her balcony to see what it was. Castle guards, they must be here to stop her. Even though she had run away, it still hurt her to see her own guards trying to stop her, when just yesterday morning everyone was celebrating her coronation.

One of the Duke's men spotted Elsa up on her balcony and managed to duck around marshmallow, and charged into the palace. "Stay back!" Elsa warned them. The last thing she wanted to do was hurt anyone with her powers, but the men had their cross bows aimed at her, ready to shoot. She raised her arms, summoning a wall of ice to grow in front of her, as protection.

The Dukes guard refused to give up, they kept coming at her. Desperate and with nowhere else to turn she waved her arms, causing shards of ice to come out of the floor, and pin one of the attackers against the wall, the spikes aimed right at his thought, allowing him just enough room to breathe.

The other guard aimed at the queen, ready to shoot. She quickly waved her arms again, but this time causing a wall of ice push him towards the balcony. Causing him to break through the doors and stand on the edge of her balcony, trapped.

Outside of the palace, the men were still trying to defeat marshmallow. Hans pulled out his sword and sliced marshmallows leg, causing the ice to break. Making marshmallow stumble and fall through the railing of the staircase, falling off into the dark canyon below. Hans and all of the men raced up into the palace.

Entering the room Elsa was fighting of the guards, they spotted one of the men trapped against the wall, and the other balancing at the very edge of the balcony, that overlooked the canyon. He was only inches from falling to his death!

"Queen Elsa! No, Please!" Hans called out to the frightened queen. "Don't be the monster they fear you are!"

Elsa noticed the fright in the guard's eye's and stopped attacking. She realized she had gone too far, this is exactly what she tried to avoid her entire life. She looked down at her bare hands in guilt of what she had done. As she did, the ice wall retreated, allowing the guard to back away from the edge. As queen, she has always wanted to keep people safe, not put them in danger. From freezing Arendelle, and now to this, she seemed to be losing all of her self-control all together.

As the ice shards backed of the other guard, he aimed his cross bow at Elsa, pressing his finger toward the trigger. Hans acted quickly, shoving the crossbow at the ceiling at the last minute. The arrow that was shot, flew upward, and hit the chandelier above Elsa, causing it to come crashing down, Ice shards scattered through the air, Elsa ran as fast as she could out of the way, but she fell, knocked unconscious.

Hours passed, before Elsa began to open her eyes. When she realized she wasn't in her ice palace, but was in a small stone room, with one bared window, that was letting in dim light, and cold air into the room. Elsa shot up off of the hard bed where she was laying. She ran over to look out the window, and realized she could not bring her hands forward. Her hands were locked in thick coverings, which were connected to heavy chains that bolted to the floor. She tried to tug her hands out of them, but they were to secure.

She could get close enough to the window to see that she was back in Arendelle. The fjord was frozen solid, and snow continued to fall on the kingdom. She was imprisoned in the dungeon of her own castle.

"No!" Elsa cried looking out at her frozen kingdom. "What have I done?"

Just then she heard someone coming down the hall. A moment later Hans entered her cell, with a small lantern.

"Why did you bring me here?" shouted Elsa.

"I couldn't just let them kill you...If you would just bring an end to this winter, and bring back summer," Hans asked.

"Don't you see?" Elsa snapped. "I can't!" she cried. "You need to tell them to let me go, don't you see, I am a danger to Arendelle! Bring me Anna!"

"Anna has not yet returned," Hans informed her.

Elsa looked back out the window. Where could her sister be? What has she done?

"I will see what I can do," Hans assured her, as he closed and locked the door behind him.

Elsa became much panicked, thinking about her sister. The more she worried the more frost climbed up the walls, and surrounded her in her cell.
