The fire redeems me from every memory
For example that picture of my family
And the special selection of books on my shelf
I adored them and kept them save by myself
But the fire also gives me heat and safety
When I am freezing it warms me up
It holds my hand when you're not present
And it makes my loneliness stop
It shows me where to go,
when I've lost the way
It's light defeats darkness
and wants for me to stay
But time after time, best friends disappear
And so does my bonfire, oh dear
And it leaves me alone in darkness, sorrow and fear
And as the fire, someday I won't be here
