Porco's P.O.V

I was shocked at how hard this family had to work to maintain. They were a hard-working family. It truly shows how some families are more unfortunate in this world. I've known they've always existed but I never met someone in that situation.

It was morning. I couldn't imagine what was going on with Pieck right now. How hard is the hangover treating her right now? I honestly didn't expect it to be nice on her. She's probably throwing up all over the bathroom right now. It would probably be a good idea to check on her.

When I went outside, everything seemed like it normally did. Her lights were on. She was already awake. I wondered if she was able to go to school today. I should probably check up on her.

I was a bit nervous to knock on the door, but it was too late as my actions spoke louder than my thoughts. I even got more scared when I heard footsteps coming my way, getting louder the more I anticipated. Before I knew it, the door slowly started to open.

"Porco, what are you doing here?"

I skimmed her. She seemed like she was tired of something, and I assumed that was from vomiting since the stench was pretty strong. I could smell it from her bathroom and her mouth. I assumed she expected me to read the room so she didn't have to explain it.

I went straight to the point then.

"Will you be able to go to school today?"

"I wish I could, but I honestly don't feel like going today."

"That's fine, I'll bring you back all of the material you'll miss today."

It was the least I could do. Back when I wasn't feeling my best, she took care of me and everything. This was just paying her back. She seemed really tired, so I decided to not stay any longer.

"You should probably go to sleep, I'm going to school now. If you need any medication contact me."

But then I realized she couldn't contact me if I never gave her my number in the first place. How weird, I never thought about giving my contact. I saw Pieck with a confused face, probably thinking the same thing.

"Righ, here I'll give you my contact," I said while I signaled her to take her phone out. We simultaneously copied each other's movements. She took out her phone and interchanged it with mine.

After we did what we had to do, I waved to her as I started heading towards the school. She shut the door and went back to sleep, or that's what I assumed anyway.

I zipped up my green jacket a bit more as today was colder than usual. Not just that, but it was also gloomy, depressing almost. It wasn't pleasant at all. I wish I could sleep in with her, but missing classes wasn't smart, and I knew better than that.

Her hangover was bound to go away. I wonder if she would be up to do anything after school. It was a Monday, and we will probably get assigned a whole bunch of homework, but I get happiness from being with her.

It only took around ten minutes to arrive, and what awaited me took me my surprise. Reiner and the entire gang were stalling around the entrance, almost as if they were waiting for me.

"What are you guys doing here, don't you have classes or something?" I asked.

"Class doesn't start until 8:30, chill," Reiner said.

"Okay, then why are you here?"

"We wanted to ask you if you knew what had been happening recently?" Historia brought up.

"No, what about it?"

"Weird how you haven't heard about it. In conclusion, there has been a wave of Eldian immigrants coming to Marley. The president has issued a no-tolerance policy, which means that any illegal Eldian will be absolutely deported without question."
