I first met Milo in the spring time during a run to the local drugstore.  He had recently moved there from New York City and was asking the clerk about the town since.  I could tell from his smooth hands and glimmering, pale skin that he was new to the country lifestyle and probably hadn't done blue collar work.  His accent was also strange and he spoke quickly, almost as if his mouth was trying to catch up with the speed of his thoughts.  Down here we let our words soak and marinate, but his voice was different, alluring even. It pulled me in from the moment I greeted him.

"Hello, nice to meet you, the name's Milo."

"Howdy, I'm Alex," I replied with a giddy smile.

Milo resembled a prince one would see in a renaissance painting.  It's like his face was composed by a master artist.  I was immediately infatuated with his forest green eyes.  When I looked into them I felt as if I was being pulled toward him, like his eyes had their own gravitational field that brought others closer.

He told me that he was new and was looking for someone to help him tend to a farm he recently purchased. I worked on a farm practically my whole life so I was presented an opportunity to get to know him better.

It was almost like we were meant to meet each other in that moment. Our conversation had come to an end, but before we left, he gave me a full embrace.  I could feel the warmth of his beating heart against mine, and the smell of lavender emanating from his golden locks intoxicated me so.  I was glad to meet him, and I hoped he felt the same about me.
