Amelia's Pov

Mer told us that Arizona's dad was alive, but he wasn't doing the best he could be. I hugged her tight as she started crying into my shoulder. Meredith led us to the room he was in, he was on a vent, and had a ton of cuts on his body. Arizona started crying more from looking at her dad. I comforted her, and told her everything would be okay.

We stayed there almost the whole day, and I had to drag Arizona to go home and get some rest. I could tell she needed it. When we got home I cuddled into her, and soothed her.

I woke up the next morning and Arizona was still asleep. Mer had left me a voicemail earlier this morning. She said that Arizona's dad was doing better, and that if nothing gets worse he might be able to get off the ventilator tomorrow. I didn't want to wake Arizona, so I decided to wait till she was awake to tell her the news. I was making coffee and heard her coming down the stairs.

"Hey, good morning. I heard good news from Mer about your dad," I said as she walked over to me.

"What did she say," Arizona asked.

"She said he was doing better, and that if he stays the way he is, he can come off the vent tomorrow," I told her.

"That's good news, anything about my mom?" Arizona asked.

"Haven't heard anything, but I know that if anything went wrong they would have called," I said. "We can go see her if you want to"

"Sure, let's go," Arizona said.

Arizona's Pov

Amelia drove over to the hospital so we could see my mom and dad. My mom asked us how dad was doing, so I assumed no one told her.

"He's on a vent, but if he stays the way he is now, he can have the vent taken off tomorrow," I explained to my mom.

"Well that's good, right," My mom asked.

"Yes, that's a good thing," I replied.
