'Are you sure Major Steel Hoof is going to let me join you?' Fire Sparked asked while trying to keep up with Sunny Starscout.

'Joining us won't be a problem which unfortunately is something that can't be said about letting you go. This might be a bit more difficult to achieve so make sure to leave all the talking to me ok?' she looked back at Fire Spark who was a couple of hoof steps away from her. He nodded his head.

Sunny Starscout didn't have to remind him about keeping quiet. The thought about speaking up to somepony like Major Steel Hoof was deeply unsettling. Luckily, he didn't have yet the chance to see him during the training during which Fire Spark could only imagine he probably turns into some kind of maniac. Knowing that 600 kilograms of pure muscles is standing in front of you somehow made conversation a lot harder for Fire Spark so knowing that this time he will not have to take part in it wasn't that bad. What was bad however where the camp ponies.

He was really hoping that by the time they reach the camp they'll find them running around on the camp grounds, although considering that it was still pretty early in the morning and the sun has only started to rise, a more likely scenario would include them still sitting in their cabins. This however would mean he will have to confront them in order to get his belongings, which to be exact included only one saddle bag.

'Major Steel Hoof has all those recruits that would jump into a fire if he would tell them to do so,' Sunny Starscout spoke up as they were passing the front gate, 'and yet his camp still looks like a,' she paused not knowing what to say. Luckily, she was saved by Fire Spark.

'Like from another era. In a bad way that is,' he quickly added.

'Exactly!' Sunny Starscout smiled to him. 'Maybe just don't repeat that in front of him,' she suggested.

'I'm not thinking of dying anytime soon. Thought if I would, that's exactly what I would say,' he paused.

'Ye, but you still have Blueberry waiting back at camp for you, right?' Sunny Starscout smiled, but before Fire Spark could answer (although to be honest he didn't even know what he could say) they both walked inside one of the larger barracks, where supposedly Major Steel Hoof's headquarters were located.

The inside was looking rather raw, metallic as if the architect didn't have any ideas on how to decorate it and so he decided to leave all the walls blank as they were. The decorations where limited to few old looking photos and diplomas on the walls. There were also a couple of antiques standing on the reception desk and shelves. Behind the large oak desk was a female pony that by the surprise look she was giving them, Fire Spark could deduct the camp didn't have many visitors. No wonder – he thought to himself.

'If you're looking to sign up your son for the camp, I regret to inform you that the registration period is over. You'll have to wait till next term. My apologies,' she said in monotone voice without lifting her head up.

'That won't be a problem thank you. I'm just here to pay a visit to my good old friend,' Sunny Starscout said with a little bit of sarcasm in her voice which really surprised Fire Spark. 'Is he in his room?' she pointed to the corridor to the receptionist left and without waiting for a reply she hurried there.

'I'll have to book you for an appointment,' she shouted towards Sunny and Fire Spark who was blindly followed her. 'You can't just go there if you don't have an appointment,' she got up from her chair and looked over at Sunny Starscout and Fire Spark who already disappeared behind the corner. She shook her shoulders. She did everything she could, it's not her problem they didn't listen. She got back to reading a magazine where number of pictures definitely outnumbered the amount of text.
