New Neighbor

As the clock struck 3:00 the whole class got up and left. It was the last day of 7th grade for me and Benny. We walked out of class together and went to our lockers which are next to each other. "So Y/N you ready for the summer?" Benny asked as he closed his locker. "Ofc I am! I can't wait to play baseball" I said with a smile. Benny agreed as we walked out of the school and waited for the rest of the boys. When the boys came out we all walked home, me and Benny holding hands and the boys making fun of us as usual lol. When we got to our street one by one we all walked into our houses. Me and Benny where the last ones to leave. "I'll see you tomorrow at 8 ok?" Benny said as I nodded and he pecked my lips and walked to his house and waved one last time. I smiled and walked over to my house. I seen a U-Haul truck outside my neighbors house so I went to check it out. I seen a boy who looked younger than me, carrying a box inside. I walked over as he came outside. "Hi I'm Y/N McClennan and this is Alan but we call him Yeah-yeah, hes my brother but we're your neighbor it's nice to meet you!" I said and he smiled. "Hi-i I'm Scotty Smalls nice to meet  you to!" He said as we shook hands. "I'm gonna go inside now I'll see you later bye" I said and he waved and I walked inside. I ate dinner and went upstairs to bed. The next day it was 7:00 and  I change into this

and my LA dodgers hat on with a pony tail

and ran downstairs. I walked outside with yeah-yeah just as Benny came up. I smiled at him and he smiled back. "You look adorable as usual." "Thank you Babe!" "ofc baby" He said as he grabbed my hand and we walked to Hams house. He came running out and we laughed as he was eating a hot dog. "If Ham doesn't leave for the sandlot with some kind of food, it's not Ham it's an alien" Benny said and we started cracking up. When the rest of the boys cam out we all walked to Vincent's drug store to buy a ball. "I'm gonna go grab seeds from my house I'll be back!" Benny said as he ran off. We were all confused but shrugged it off. "Come on Yeah-Yeah let's go get a ball" I said and he nodded and we walked inside. We bought the ball and walked outside as I threw the box in the trash. Ham was standing up with a half eaten sausage in his mouth and mumbling something while the boys tried to guess it. He took the sausage out of his mouth. "I'm the Great Bambino!"  "Ohhhhh!" "I knew that" All the boys were saying as me and yeah-yeah laughed. Benny came around the corner with the kid who lives next door to me. Now if you didn't know the last time we were at the sandlot he came and embarrassed himself and I made sure to yell at the boys for laughing. Benny said some stuff about him playing bc he makes 10 people so we have enough for a team. He introduced all of us. "That's Alan we call him yeah-yeah," he spit. "Thats Hamilton we call him Ham," He spit "Thats Bertrum," he spit "Thats timmy and tommy," they spit "thats kenny," he spit "Thats squints" he spit "and thats Y/N, my girlfriend and Yeah-yeahs sister." I waved as I spit out a seed."Yeah-Yeah you got the ball?" "yeah-yeah ofc I have a ball" he said as he handed it to Benny. "Ok lets go to the sandlot." Benny said as we all walked off the boys were babbling on about Smalls not being able to play baseball. "The kid is a L-7 Weenieee!" Squints said as I rolled my eyes "Yeah-yeah-Oscar Meyer even. Footlong, dodger dog, a weenie!" They all laughed but me and Benny. We looked at each other. "what are you laughing at Yeah-yeah, You run like a duck!" Benny said. I held back a laugh "And you hit like a 2 year old in tee ball class" I added and Benny chuckled.  "Kay 'kay, but I'm... I'm..." " Part of the game right?" "Mmm... Yeah?" "Now how come he don't get to be?"  Benny said to yeah-yeah as Bertrum spoke up "He's a geek, man" and the boys chimed in "He can't catch." they said as me and Benny looked at each other again. Benny looked pissed off.  "Man, base up you blockheads!" He said as they jogged to their bases. He sent Smalls to left center and we started the game. When he hit it to smalls he didn't catch it and the boys rolled their eyes and sighed in annoyance. Benny ran out to the field and showed him how to throw and catch. Squints sighed and yelled at Benny. "It's about time Benny, my clothes are going out of style." I was annoyed and yelled "They already are, Squints!" "Shut up!" He said as I laughed and Benny ran back in. He hit it to Smalls and he caught it. We were all shocked. He threw to me and I threw it to Bertrum. "Ok lets play some ball!" Bertrum said and we all cheered. Benny gave him a thumbs up. Benny looked at me and winked and I smiled and bushed. We played for a while and then we all left. "Bye guys see y'all tomorrow!" Yeah-yeah said. "8'o clock ok!" I yelled and he nodded. Now it was me, Benny, Smalls, and Ham. Ham said something to Smalls and walked inside. I smiled at Smalls as him and Benny talked for a minuted and he ran inside as he waved to me. I waved back. "I'll see you tomorrow at 8 ok?" "ok love you." "love you to" Benny said as I pecked his lips and was about to walk off but he pulled me back and kissed me one more time. I blushed and he winked at me and we walked to our own houses. Today was amazing.
