There are times in our lives that make us feel like time just stops. Nothing matters, it's our own little bubble. Kinda like in muggle movies when they do this while "slow-mo" thing and everything just seems so pretty and perfect.
Well, not in that case.
"See something you like, Granger?"
Oh, yeah. She was staring.
"What are you- Um- What?"
The scene was somewhat laughable. She thought it definitely looked like that from the third person's perspective. How would she even explain it if someone just casually walked by?
"Why do I what?"
"What the fuck, Malfoy! Why are you- hexing yourself, are you bloody insane?"
The look in his eyes was so impossibly blank, Hermione could almost see through him.
"I don't know. Feels good?"
"Feel good? Do you even hear yourself?"
He moved then, started walking slowly towards her, as if like trying to intimidate her. And it was definitely working.
She couldn't lie, he was an attractive man. Something told her that he took it upon himself to change something about his look after the war. His shoulders, arms, chest. His face had this... incredible bone structure, eyes as cold as ever, very inviting lips-
What?
"You're staring, Grander." he said, his voice full of amusement.
"I am not-" She was. "I wasn't staring." Definitely was.
"Are you sure? I definitely saw you staring." he chuckled. "Listen, I don't know what's been going on with you lately but it's pretty fucking annoying. So I'd appreciate you just... Just stop, yeah?"
"What's wrong with you? You've been- Why? Who does that and acts so casual about it? What wrong?"
He was grinning at her now. Sinfully. "Funny. Sounds to me like you care."
"What-"
He started walking again. One step towards her made Hermione take a step backwards. Her back hit the cold, stone wall of the castle and his hands made their way to land on the wall on both sides of her head.
Trapped. No way to run.
His smile was gone now, his face serious and eyes hooded. His voice low when he spoke.
"Let me tell you something. And listen to me." Their faces now mere inches away, his breath on her lips made her shiver. If she just leaned in a little- "What you just saw is none of your bloody business, so mouth shut, yeah? If I hear you're blabbing around, it's not the wall I'll hex next time, how does that sound?"
She exhaled. When exactly did she hold her breath?
"I know you're curious." His lips made their way to her ear, goosebumps covering the flesh where his hot breath hit. "It's one of those things that make me absolutely hate you and crave you at the same time."
Fuck.
"You know, if I could, I would have you in any way known to the human kind. If I could I would make you do anything i fucking want. Would you like that, Granger?"
Yes.
Wait, what? No.
"I- What do you mean?"
He sighed, his jaw tense, she heard it click. "Ah, ah, Grander. I can't be the only one who felt this scalding tension since the night of our little encounter in the bathroom. You're hatred is impressive. I can't help but wonder, what would you do to release that tension, huh? What would it take for you to lose control?"
Her breaths were so heavy, it was hard for her to inhale. She didn't know what that was, but his words made her feel things that were unacceptable in her vocabulary, her core clenching and the feeling in her lower stomach - electric.
He was facing her now, his lips grazing her own, breath hot, eyes locked on hers, the blacks of his eyes almost taking over the silver of his irises.
"This one time? Let's see where this goes, yeah?"
And now his lips were on hers, softly at first, his tongue licked her bottom lip, asking for entry. She gave it to him, almost immediately, and he deepened the kiss, his hunger obvious.
She felt the anger and hate in his kiss, the way he grabbed her waist, squeezing the flesh, low growl coming from his throat as she put her hands in his hair, lightly tugging at the white blonde strands.
There was no way she could pull away from it now. She did not know she craved it until now.
He was the one to pull away. "How was that for you?" he whispered.
"I-" and what exactly was she supposed to say to that? "It was- well. I liked it?"
He studied her for a second before he straightened up and gave her one of his signature smirks. "Good. Same time tomorrow. Don't be late."
Oh.
"Wait- Malfoy!"
"It just," he stared, standing in the doorway, his head turned to the side but not quite looking at her. "It looks like we both need to put our minds into something different than what's going on in our heads. You wouldn't be here at this hour if that wasn't true, hm?"
Hermione blinked.
"Just meet me here tomorrow, I know some ways to get your mind off of things."
He left after that, leaving her very much so... excited.
