Isabel Romano was a hard-working doctor at Apollo Hospital in Rome, Italy. In her school days, she belonged to the group of nerds. Her ex-boyfriend, Jeremiah had cheated on her with her cousin sister, Christina. She had moved on but her heart felt empty and barren like a desert. She had been living like a ghost trying to hide from the prying eyes of this evil world until the day he came.

Xander Valencia belonged to a millionaire family and had taken hold of his family's business, turning the millions into billions with his illegal business dealings. He was also the new king of the underworld. The paparazzi were constantly on his tail, as he was often seen with another lady on his arm. He transformed his business into one of the best and most wealthy companies. He was a villain in every sense of the word: women, money and cars were his toys. He didn't give a damn about anyone except his business and his family. He had been a tyrant until the day his eyes fell upon her, an angelic doctor whom he wanted to hide away from prying eyes, just to make sure that her innocence remains untarnished.

Isabel came to the hospital earlier than usual today.
