Isabel looked like a rabbit trying to escape while its predator watches it thrash around. She kicked frantically to free herself from his grip after hearing him mention her younger brother and sister. She started panicking and again fresh hot tears welled up in her eyes. His grip on her arm tightened and she began to cry.

This was too much for her. Now her legs could no longer hold her and she slid down the wall. "Why are you doing this to me?" she asked Xander, crying. "Just saying it was your bad luck, princess," and with that he swung her into his strong arms and carried her inside her apartment.

An hour later

Xander came out and Isabel followed him with her head hung low and her eyes downcast. Xander asked his chauffeur to get the luggage, opened the door, and looked at Isabel. She got into the car without a word. Soon they reached the hospital, and she turned her head and looked at Xander as if asking him why they were there. He understood the question and told her that the helicopter was waiting for them on the hospital's helipad. As she entered the elevator, she became nostalgic. This was the place where she had started as a resident and was now a respected surgeon. Many good and bad memories were associated with this place. The hallways where she and her team had cried together, been nervous, come out of the operating room after a successful surgery, and many more. And now it was time for her to bid goodbye to it all.

The helicopter ride was very uneventful. Soon they landed in Milan. Not far from where the helicopter had landed, many cars were waiting for them. A question surfaced in her mind, 'Just how rich is this man and what does he do? Does he sell drugs, human trafficking, or organ trafficking? Is he a mafia boss? No, he can't be. But the way he walks and those cars. Stop the train of your thoughts, Isabel.'

A man dressed all in black approached him and told him, "Sir, we're expecting another attack by the Rossi's today. To keep you and ma'am safe, we're going to change cars and take a new route." Isabel was startled when she heard this. "All right, carry her luggage to the car," Xander said, as if unaffected by the news and used to it.

Before he could move on, Isabel blocked his path and looked at him with worried eyes full of concern, and said, "There are two or more lives at stake here, including yours and mine."

"Is that terror I see in your eyes, Doctor? ", Indifference permeated his words.

"What do you care about that? It has nothing to do with you. You may have brought me here against my will, but only as a doctor, not as a normal human being," and with that she trudged toward the car, only to be told that she had gotten into the wrong car. She stomped off to the right car. He stood there with the door open, smirking haughtily.
