Chapter 2

Isabel wasn't a woman who was easily intimidated, but when the tall and handsome Xander Valencia stood near her, her nerves were on edge, but she refused to show any sign of her fear.

Isabel quickly changed into her scrubs and rushed into the operating room. She saw that the woman had fainted from the pain. She asked the anesthesiologist to keep her under general anesthesia. The wound was deep but Dr. Isabel remained unfazed. She was used to dealing with such situations.

Xander stood outside the operating room with his brother, Adrian Valencia, pacing back and forth. He had been informed that Valyshka had been shot by the Irish mafia family, the Rossi. His patience was wearing thin as time went on. Finally, he was at the end of his patience and told Xander, "Get the doctor to open the door or I'll kill her and her family. "

Just as Xander was about to knock, the door opened. Isabel came out of the operating room with the nurses who were transporting Valyshka on the stretcher. She told Xander that Valyshka and her babies were out of danger and that she would have to stay in the hospital for 5 days. Then Isabel's eyes turned to Adrian Valencia, who gave her a look that would have most people running for the nearest escape door, but Isabel stood firm.

Adrian came up to her and said, "Valyshka isn't going to stay here, Dr. Isabel. You'll come with us, either on your own will or we'll drag you with us. You have to be with Valyshka the whole time, and that's why you're going to come with us to Milan." He turned towards Xander and said, "See to it that she complies. We can't risk her leaking information about Valyshka's pregnancy. You know what to do if she doesn't keep her mouth shut. Kill her as well as her family."

Isabel was shocked to the core but snapped out of her daze and shouted, "Mr. Valencia, you can't make me do something I don't want to do. To hell with you and your family! I'm not at all interested in going anywhere with you guys and staying with you all, for that I'd have to be out of my mind. You may leave with the patient and her twins at your own risk. I'm leaving now."

With those words, Isabel turned around to leave and bumped into a hard wall, Xander's chest. "Where are you going, Doctor? Did you know you don't have a say in this? You're are coming with us by hook or by crook."

Isabel's blood turned cold and she screamed, "I'm not going anywhere with you, you bastard!" She raised her hand to strike him, but her hand was caught halfway. Within a second, he twisted her hand and forced her to stand with her back to him. "Don't you ever raise your hands on me again.", he growled in her ear, sending a shiver down her spine.
