The next day we realised that most of us had fallen asleep on the last few pages. Myself being one of them. Those of us still going to school left the house for that and the others went to do their own thing.

We made a pact that we'd stay in contact and look out for each other. Today was going to be weird for all of us and we needed to stay alert and safe.

As I wasn't going to school so I decided to catch up with the Sheriff and Parish. They knew I was back but we hadn't had a chance to talk properly since.

I slowly walked into the Sheriff's station and I was greeted by a deputy on the desk. "What can I do for you miss?" He asked a friendly smile on his lips.

"I'm here to see Sheriff Stilinski" I replied nervously tapping on the wood of the desk.

"Right this way" He led me through the Sheriff's office before going back.

I took in a deep breath before stepping through and seeing Noah and Jordan both standing there. They were surveying a board with the different Chimera's on before turning round to see me.

" Y/n!" They both exclaimed and Stilinski rushed over, taking me into a hug.

I sighed in relief and gladly returned the hug before giving a short one to Parish aswell.

"Are you here to give a statement? have you remembered anything?" Parish asked taking a seat on the corner of Stilinski's desk.

"We looked on the cameras when Donovan went missing..." Noah paused and lowered his voice, "You both disappeared after the default. What happened?"

I bit my lip and looked through the blinds to the bustling police station main area. The deputies were all busy on the ringing phones and the endless files. And yet it still felt like they could hear me.

"The pack caught me up on all the things happening around here recently" I gave more detail. "I think the dread doctors took me..." I answered carefully.

They both shared a worried look and I smiled weakly.

"Do you remember anything?" Parish repeated.

"No, I was hoping coming here would jog my memory or something"

"Feel free to look around" The Sheriff replied gently before guiding me out of his office and into the chatter of the adjacent room.

We followed as he led us to the holding cell and the files room next to it. Parish moved to the files, sifting through the endless papers, and Noah continued to open the empty cell.

I ran my fingers across the metallic bars hoping it would trigger some sort of remembrance. But the longer I stood there, the silence deafening, the less and less connected I felt.

There was nothing.

Not even a single drop of memory to what happened that night. I was nowhere closer to knowing. Shaking my head I glanced at the two police men.

"Maybe retrace your steps" Jordan suggested.

I nodded in agreement before doing just that, I walked between the files room and the holding cell. Trying to retrace my panic when I heard them and remembering the way I tried to help Donovan.

It still wasn't working. I couldn't help the pack... I couldn't even help myself. I was a lost cause. I should have moved away further. They're exactly how they were before me and I'm doing nothing to prove my worth.

Sighing I moved to the wall and slide down it. My back ached from the rough material and my knees were tired from standing. I let my eyes drop to the floor and my eyes latch on to the ringing in the next room over.

The Sheriff and Parish moved to stand in front of me, their eyes eager for me to talk to them. To reveal to them what I could remember, whether from the other night or generally.

"Nothing" I muttered letting my head fall between my knees. "I don't--"

I woke to the sound of screaming and shouting, the noise dancing in between the constant ticking and heavy breathing. The pounding in my head hadn't subsided but worsened and as I lifted my eyelids I still couldn't see a thing.

A black coloured blindfold was tied around my head and completely covering my eyes. At least I could still breathe properly, I thought.

Groaning quietly I tried to lift a hand to my head but failed as a pair of iron shackles kept my arms in place. Coming round fully, I realised I needed to get out of here. I really needed to get out of here.

The constant screaming suddenly seized and I was left in silence. Did someone just get killed? Where am I? What are these things? Did they kidnap me?

Of course they did. I was stupid for even asking myself that question but I couldn't help my overthinking.

My panicked state wasn't doing me any favours as the questions continued to swirl around my mind. I tried to steady my shakey breathing as a pair of footsteps gradually came closer.

I shuffled on my spot, the fact I couldn't see who was coming towards me made me uncomfortable. It wasn't the heavy thudding steps of the weird people but softer and lighter.

It was someone different.

Who?

"You should stop wriggling" a voice spoke up and I sat still.

"Who are you?" I asked, pulling gently against the restraints.

"That I can't say or I'd be in more trouble than what I am for taking you here. You see, you don't fit the box for what they want to do but you can help us.... Well me"

"I don't care who you think you are, or what you are doing but I'm not helping you!" I shouted pulling forward.

"You don't have a choice" I opened my mouth the protest, but before a syllable could leave my lips there was a sharp pain in my head and darkness consumed my mind again.

"-Y/n!?"

I was snapped out of the memory as I gazed up to the Sheriff and Parish.

"Huh?" I hummed back.

"You alright?" Parish asked leaning away from the files and towards me.

"I need to go"
