MARY

10AM- November 13th

"Hey Mal we gotta go!" I yell outside her door...Or my door. "I'm ready." She says opening the door dressed in all black. Oh she's not up for games today. She's determined to get her daughter back. "You guys ready?" Blake says coming up to us in a suit. "Wow, lets go." Maleah says walking downstairs. I looked him up and down and he looks so good. "Is it too much?" He freaks out. "No. lets go." I say interlocking our hands and walking downstairs.

"Alright, we will be back. We may or may not be bringing back our girl." I say to everyone in the living room. "We'll be prepared for anything." Jaden says. "Thanks guys." I say. Maleah came to my side and took a deep breath. "Now I know the last week or so hasn't been too shiesty. But I- im sorry I lost my train of thought looking at Bryce's shirt. Come on we gotta go" Maleah says laughing and walking out the door. "Damn" Jaden laughs. Blake and I walked out the door and Maleah was already in the car.

"Are you good?" I say getting in the passenger seat. "Yeah? Why?" She says in a monotone. "Nothing, lets go." I say. She pulled out the drive way and headed to the court. "Is Gianna gonna be there?" Blake asks. "Yup." Maleah says. "Oh." He says. "Where else would she be?" I ask. "I don't know! Not there!" He says. "Someones feisty" I say. "Im hungry." He says. "Me too." Maleah says. "We eat after court. It shouldn't be long for them to realize that Lori and her daughter are nut jobs." I say. "True." They both say. "Wheres the Land Rover?" I ask. "Somewhere in the middle of the ocean." Maleah says. "WHAT?!" Blake laughs. "I'm kidding. It's in the garage. Imma set it on fire after I get Gianna back."She says. "We have a garage?"I say confused. "What the fuck do you think that big door is for?" Blake says. "I just thought it was a wall nobody uses it!" I say. Maleah looked at me and then touched my arm. "Sometimes I dont know if youre just really stupid. Or you suffer from lack of common sense." Maleah says. "You're a bitch you know that?" I say. "Yup." She smiles. 

We stopped at dunking for doughnuts and coffee before the case. And if these didn't eat I knew today wasn't gonna be good especially waking both of them up before twelve  That was hectic. I probably have a bite mark on my arm from Maleah. I looked at the back of my arm and it was a bruise. "Hey thanks for the mark today gorgeous!" I smile at her. She looked looked away from her phone at it and then at me. "You're welcome." She says as hitting it. "Bitch." I say. "Woahhh thats two" She says not looking at me. "Your parents just pulled up." Blake says. "Bet, lets go" She says jumping out the car.

MALEAH

"Miss. Walker?" The judge says. I looked at Lori and her daughter. "Yes?"I say. "Did you take this child as a so called "fame boost" for three months for the company you are running?" The judge asks. "Your honor I did but I knew that I wasn't giving her back as soon as Lori brought her into the house. Also she didn't stay a full three months because her daughter got released early from rehab." I say. "Good job throwing that in there." My mom says. I nodded. Im not here to talk to anyone right now. I want my girl. "Rehab? Liliana you've been in and out of rehab for the entire life of this baby. Why shouldn't I give her to Miss Walker?" The judge says. "Yeah why shouldn't she?" I say turning towards her. She rolled her eyes. "She's not fit to be a mother" "Oh because you are?" I scoff. The judge hit her gavel. "Miss. Walker." She points it at me. "Sorry." I say leaning back in my chair. "I am, I know I have missed out on so much of my daughters life and put my old way in the past and staying with my mom is gonna help me stay clean and a better mom." Liliana says. My jaw dropped because how she change her act up so quick. "Mhm, if I decide to let you keep her is gonna have her own room to stay not including your room." The judge says. "She will." Liliana says. "She will?" The judge questions. "Your honor we are have some remodeling done at the house and at this time space is really low." Lori says. "You're a realtor you alway have space." I bud in.

 "She has a point, Miss Walker what has Gianna done for you to be here today fighting for her." Th judge says rephrasing the question she asked Liliana. "Gianna has changed my life in so many ways that I thought a child could never do." I say. "How so?" She asks. "Yeah how so?" Liliana asks. I looked back at Scott holding Gianna. She waved at me and I waved back. "She's like my little best friend. Now I know ive never been a mom but im willing to step up! To be the mother this women chose not to be" I say pointing at Liliana. "If she goes home with you right now will she have a place of her own to stay?" The judge says. "Yes, Lori had me clean out a room for her and it's been in the same shape it was before she left" I say. "I'm sorry the mother I chose not to be? Are you serious right now. You are trying to take my baby away from me. Thats what im trying to do. BE A MOTHER." Liliana yells at me. "You had your chance. On April 4th 2017." I say stating Giannas birthday. "We're gonna take a fifteen minute recess" The judge says hitting her gavel. I got up and walked out to the car. 

"Hey" Mary says catching up with me. "Hi" I say. "How do you think its going?" She asks. "I don't know." I say. A car was coming up to us and it parked right next to us. "Who the fuck?" Mary says jumping on the hood of my car. "Sorry." Josh says rolling down the window. "What are you guys doing here?" I say surprised. "We're here for support." Jaden says getting out. "And we brought someone." Josh says. Bryce hopped out the drivers seat. A disgust look appears on my face. "You're still wearing that ugly shirt huh?" I say. "Only to hear you complain about how ugly it is." He says. I tried not to laugh so I looked away. "You know... you're an idiot sometimes" I say looking at him. "I know, that's why I have you to tell me" He says walking closer to me. I whipped my head in shocked. "Oh nononono. You're funny" I say standing up. "You're really done?" He asks. "I told Rhodey to get me two house on the market to own. It can be in your name if you want and have sway the way you had it before" I say in a love voice. The look on his face... You can see that he was heartbroken that I wasn't coming back. "So this is goodbye?" He says. "Not until were not in the same hallway" I say getting back in the car. "What are you doing. We gotta go." Mary says. "Are you guys coming to see if we got her back or not?" I say getting out the car and closing the door. "Are you guys getting food afterwards?" Jaden asks. "Not everything is about food..." I say walking away. "Are you?" He asks. "Yes." I say not stopping.

"During anytime have you or anyone in the Sway household put their hands on Gianna?" Lori's lawyer asked me. "No" I say. "But you did in fact tell Lori that she "hit her head" or was that a lie?" He asked. I shook my head and laughed. " Lori's a liar." I say rubbing my chin. "But you didn't answer the question." He grins. "No, after dinner I put her to bed and about no. It was five am she ran out of her room and hit her head trying to find my room." I stated. "That's a well thought out statement." He says walking up to me. "We'll there's nothing to lie about." I shrugged while looking at him. "But you did lie to your boyfriend to get his company." He says. "Yup, and your client has forged illegal documents and my signature and to DCFS..." I say. He was speechless. "Oh! You or you didn't know that?" I say pointing at her lawyer and the judge. "Tone it down Miss Walker." The judge says. "Sorry your honor" I say clearing my throat. "Anything else you wanna ask me, Mr. Lawyer sir?" I say looking at him. He cleared his throat. "No further questions" He says walking back to Lori. "You may step off the stand Miss. Walker." The judge says. I got up and walked back to my mom. I looked at Mary and she was geeked that I stepped up like that.

You couldn't see on my face but I was scared shitless for what the Judge is about to say. "Mom im scared." I say to her. "We got this, don't worry." She says rubbing my leg. My heart was beating so fast. My palms were sweaty my chest felt tight. I swear to god if Gianna goes home with them after today. I think I'll lose it. "I don't think it's best for Gianna to go home again to a drug abuser,a liar and a scammer who's gonna run out of her life with one simple high or better yet to an empty home. Im letting her go home with Miss. Walker." The judge says. It felt like a thousand pounds have been lifted off my shoulders because WHAT?! I GOT MY GIRL BACK. My eyes widened and my jaw dropped. "Thank you your honor." I say baffled. The boys started cheering and they are so stupid because a court room is quiet. But its only us so who cares. 

I got up and Gianna ran to me. "Mommy!" Gianna says greeting me with a hug. "Princess" I cry while hugging her. I picked her up and looked at Lori getting handcuffed  over Giannas shoulder and shook my head."You are a dead women Walker" Liliana yells at me. "Baby im pretty sure im a Walker? But thanks tho!" I smile while waving at her. "Welcome home boo!" Mary says coming up to me. "Marty!" Gianna says jumping onto her. "Now what do we do?" Blake says. "We go home." I say
