Alone in a restaurant

I hate this feeling.. sitting here staring at my phone, my stomach dropping whenever I see that message that he's typing. What's he even doing.. I just want a response from him already. I turn my phone off and look around. Am I a shitty boyfriend? I am a shitty boyfriend aren't it..

"Hey, mister, what are you ordering?" The waitress pulls me out of my own head for the time being. I chuckle awkwardly and look back down at my menu.

"Can I have.. some pancakes maybe?" I didn't really want anything special, just something to chew on really. It's easier than ripping up napkins I guess. The waitress nods at me and walks to the back counter. There were a lot more people in the restaurant than there were normally. I know that New York is a very inconsistent town, but this restaurant is so much louder than it would be normally. God.. was he still typing? I just want to pretend nothing is happening anymore.

"Here you go, syrup should be provided with the table, but if you need anything else just call up one of our waiters, mmk?" She was smiling.. but I think the waitress was stressed out too. I am glad to know I'm not alone with this...? None of this is making any sense is it.

Bzzt

My stomach drops. That's him, he finally finished typing whatever message he was typing up. I take a deep breath and look down at my phone

"Norry I don't care what the circumstances are I need you to leave the restaurant you're in right now, you're in danger and I don't want you to get hurt." Huh? I start typing up something in response but he stops me in my tracks

"No I don't care get out of the room leave, I am demanding it please get out I don't want you to die" He's never been like this before, I stand up and after staring at my pancakes for a moment step out of the restaurant. I walk out of the restaurant, wave goodbye and once I turn around...

As soon as I step out of the building the whole restaurant burst into flames.

I feel my phone vibrate in my pocket again.

"You need to listen to me very carefully, do not skip a single word of what I'm saying, I'll get you through the day safely."
