"Lily Evans?!" You squealed running up to her and throwing your arms around her. Her hair was silky and dark falling just above her torso in small artificial ringlets.
she had grown over the summer. and she'd grown taller.
"(Y/N)!!!?" Lily giggled excitedly, "How was your summer? i feel like i haven't seen you in forever! Oh! i think you've grown."
you smiled excitedly answering all her questions. out of the corner of your eyes you saw a tall dark figure watching. his black hair like a curtain around his pasty face. large nose and thin blushed lips. "still hanging out with sniv- I-I mean Severus i see?" You sighed, catching his eyes a few times
"your still hanging around potter?" She shot back
"that's different, James... well Snape's a creep." you whispered not wanting him to over hear, though from the glare he was pointing at you you were sure that your tactics had not prevailed.
"I can't do this today... Agree to disagree?" she held her hand out and you took it, and walked to class.
the halls were scattered with clueless first years. They all huddled together and their eyes were glued to the flour. Ravenclaw boys snickered as the first years bumped into each other. McGonagle was in the midst of the sea of uncoordinated.
"it feels like only yesterday we were in that position." lily sighed
"now i fear we may be getting closer to being McGonagle." you said grimly feeling the need to grasp onto the few years of your youth like they were trying to escape you. Or drowned you.. whichever came first.
lily laughed and you smiled, not at all thrilled at the idea humor at the moment. Your first class of today was Transfiguration. As were the rest of your Gryffindor comrades.
"y/ n, there you ar-"James cleared his throat tousled his hair and straightened up, "Evans." his nodded clenching his jaw
"potter."she nodded back. walking right past him without once glance. and sat next to marlene (her best friend and hater of the marauders)
You and Sirius shared a desk James and Remus did also, you were sitting in the middle of both Sirius ans Remus while James and peter were on the other side.
"i think we should should ask her how to change.. maybe the ol' bag would know something." James whispered.
"even if she did, Minny wouldn't tell us anything." peter said.
"maybe not you lot, but i happen to be in her good books." Sirius popped his collar and leaned back in his chair.
Remus snorted, " since when exactly? because the last time yous aw her her hair was bright pink and she was chasing you down the halls."
" what can i say? i' m a ladies man, right y/n? " he winked bit his lip.
" if that' s what helps you sleep at night Sirius... then sure."
James snickered and Sirius sat up straighter. McGonagle walked in pointed her wand at the stool on her desk and whispered veraverta the stool turned into a pelican.
" you will remember that in this class there is no doddling, when you enter these doors you consent to work hard, to pay attention- that means you Mr. petigrew- and to respect your fellow classmates. Need i go over the rules?" McGonagle looked at the class that was so quiet you could hear a pin drop
" we shouldn't ask her then," Sirius whispered
" seems like Minny' s in a bad mood," James coughed.
