The Chase (Dream x Femreader)

Chapter 8

Time skip 3 days later

"Wake up" the voice I've heard every morning now wakes me up. I open my eyes to see the mask, I still can't help myself from wondering what's underneath. "Good Morning to you to dream'' he stood over the bed longingly "you get to see your friends again today" the words echoed in my mind. I can't help but think he's lying, my face heats up and my stomach starts to turn at the thought of seeing them. Although I'm happy to see them, I have no idea what's happened outside of these cobblestone walls for the past who knows how long at this point.

"'I'm sorry what?" the words escaped my mouth without a second thought as he slightly stepped back from the bed, "yeah but you probably won't be too happy after." the words made every bone in my body quiver in fear, what did he mean should I be worried for my friends? As I sat in shock he walked out of the room with a simple "get dressed please.", before closing the door. I got up and looked in the closet filled with Dream's old hoodies and my L'manberg uniform. I grabbed the pants from my uniform and an old hoodie because my L'manberg coat although nice originally was now torn up and overall destroyed.

After getting dressed and ready I walk out of the room to see Dream standing right next to the door, he turns to me and I see a smug smile go across his face as he asks me "ready to go now?" I didn't hesitate to say "yes" as he grabbed my hands and tied them together and started walking me down the stairs. "I just want you to know I would never purposefully hurt you my love?" A state of shock pulsed through my body as the words came from his mouth. The familiar feeling of butterflies was back as I nodded and continued to let him walk me down the grand staircase. "Are we ready?" Punz stood at the bottom of the staircase with the rest of them looking at me with remorse, I can't help but wonder why.

"Yeah it's go time" Dream nodded, grabbing my arm ever so slightly tighter as he started to walk us towards the doors, and all I can do is hope to seeing my friends ends peacefully.

As we walked up I saw all my friends standing at the L'manberg gate except one where was Eret? I started looking around when I see him standing next to George, why was he on this side so many things are running through my head but I come to a conclusion when Tommy lets out the words "ERET YOU TRAITOR!" the words echo in my head... Eret is a traitor? No it simply can't be but it has to. I turn back looking at my friends longingly as they look back obviously happy to see I'm okay but I can't help from wondering why they didn't try to save me.

 Dreams grip on me lets go as he walks close to the gate. I can't hear but I can see words exchange as he places a piece of tnt and lights it, what is one piece- my thoughts are interrupted by loud explosions and clouds of smoke. "It was rigged" the words leave my mouth and yet this my chance no one can see one another. I run towards L'manberg through the smoke. I hear screaming and cries as I run through footsteps behind me and yells from what sounds like Sapnap yet I follow Tommy's shouts and Wilbur's orders to go under the lake. I see them all swim through a trap door and I follow. 

I dive into the lake I used swim in often and see the trap door immediately going through I am being greeted by Wilbur's arms before a second thought and his hands in my hair, "Oh how we missed you (y/n) you don't know how worried we have been-" his words are cut off my Tommy, Tubbo, and Fundy's embrace and we stand there for a few moments just hugging in this small hallway. Oh how I've missed my family.
