DON'T TOUCH THAT DIAL.
(Episode II)THE NEXT MORNING, Miriam was sat on the couch watching Vision's rehearsal for his magic act.
"Ladies and gentlemen, for my final trick, I bring you the Cabinet of Mysteries." He said as he pointed his wand towards the other side of the room.
"Mom that's your cue." Miriam said as both Vision and her was met with silence. "Your dad said Cabinet of Mysteries?" Wanda's voice said from afar, slightly muffled.
"I said, 'The Cabinet of Mysteries.'" He called out as he spoke to an invisible audience. "Oh, that's my cue. Ooh" said Wanda as she pushed a large cabinet on its wheels. Miriam rolled her eyes playfully.
"Holy Toledo!" Vision said as his breath hitched at the size of the cabinet. "Darling, do all the other acts in the talent show have such elaborate props?" He asked.
"Are you kidding?" Asked Wanda as she came from behind the large cabinet. "Fred and Linda are building a moat and a fully-functioning portcullis and no one even knows why." Wanda stated.
"Let's keep going." She said to her husband. "Yes. Yes. Where was I? Um..." Vision trailed off slightly.
"Watch closely as I, illusion, master of Enigma, make my captivating assistant, glamour, disappear." Vision announced as Wanda did a small dance.
With a huge gasp, Wanda strutted into the cabinet - dramatically thought Miriam. "You really are very dashing." She smirked. "Mmm, thank you, darling."
"Fear not, glamour." Vision spoke loudly as he went to the other side of the cabinet. "For I, illusion, vow to bring you back exactly as you are."
Wanda let out an exaggerated shudder as Vision closed the doors. "ABRACADABRA!" Vision shouted, his wand directed to the doors.
With three taps, he spoke again "ta-ta" and revealed an empty cabinet. Miriam clapped earning a bright smile from Vision, another clap could be heard.
Wanda appeared behind a hidden, wooden door. A bright smile plastered on her face. "Yes, um. Wanda, you're not at all worried that the audience might just see through this little charade?" Vision wondered.
"Well, that's the whole point. In a real magic act, everything is fake." She stated. "We can do actual magic?" Miriam spoke up.
"Miriam darling, you know we have to lay low. The talent show fundraiser is the most important event of the season, and it's our neighbourly duty to participate." Wanda spoke.
