Part 10: Donating Blood

"Lauren!" Sam yells as the Winter Soldier lifts his gun in my direction. I turn around, completely pissed off now. I run behind a few empty cars for cover, then use my powers and throw the car at the Winter Soldier. He rolls out of the way, just in time to avoid getting hit by the car. He advances towards me again, his gun lifted and ready to shoot. I use my telekinesis and lift the end of his gun, jumping out at him and wrapping my legs around his neck. He loses his balance and stumbles back a few feet. I continue to old my legs to his neck tightly. He throws the gun up, hitting me in the knee painfully and making me lose my grip. He leans forward and throws me off of the bridge. I use my powers to soften the landing and roll to my feet. I run under the bridge, knowing that the Winter Soldier could see me at any moment and shoot. I see the Winter Soldier's shadow under the bridge and I throw a few fireballs at him. He moves out of the way and begins shooting down at me again. I use my telekinesis and pull one of his guns out of his holster. He looks down in surprise and I use it to my advantage to shoot at him. One of them hits his goggles and shatters them. I catch him off guard as he pulls off his goggles and I begin shooting at him. The gun clicks, indicating that it doesn't have any more ammo, so I drop it and run behind a car. I watch as the Winter Soldier jumps off the side of the bridge, immediately following in my direction. I run as fast as I can, using cars as a temporary shield. I hide behind a few cars and wait for the Winter Soldier. Soon, he comes to my area and looks around, trying to find where I went. I jump out at him, catching him off guard and kick him in the knee. He loses his balance and falls onto both knees. I then jump around his neck again, elbowing his head, trying to knock his unconscious. He reaches up and grabs my wrists. He throws his head back, hitting me in the stomach, then throws me forward. I land painfully on the ground, but I shoot back up to my feet.

I begin running again, as fast as I can away from the man. I run behind cars, continuing to use them to deflect his bullets. A bullet rikochets off of a car and hits my hand. I hiss in pain and pull my hand up to my chest. Catching me off guard, the Winter Soldier lands on the roof of the car that I'm behind. He stands there, pointing his gun at me, three feet away. Before he gets the chance to pull the trigger, Steve comes running up. He kicks the soldier off of the car and they begin their fight. The Winter Soldier jumps to his feet and throws a strong punch at Steve. Steve lifts his shield and the Winter's Soldier's metal fist hits the shield and creates a loud bell sound. Steve then jumps up and kicks the soldier again. Their arms and feet move quickly as they both fight each other. Steve knocks the gun away from the soldier and he pulls out a knife instead. Steve dodges the knife as he attempts to stab Steve. Steve grabs the wrist with the knife and instead directs it into a nearby van. Steve pushes on the Winter Soldier, making the knife cut the van as they move. The Winter Soldier hits Steve's shield out of his hand and it flies into the metal of a car. Steve continues to fight the Winter Soldier. Steve gets knocked down. "Steve!" I yell, using my telekinesis to throw the shield back at Steve. He catches it and him and the Winter Soldier go back to fighting. Steve's shield whips around and the Winter Soldier dodges it. The shield takes it's place painfully in the Winter Soldier's metal arm. The Winter Soldier lands a punch on Steve and he stumbles back a few feet. Steve jumps over the Winter Soldier, landing behind him. He reaches back and pulls on the Winter Soldier's head, flinging him over his shoulder. The Winter Soldier lands in a crouched position, but his mask falls off. Steve and I both completely freeze as we see who is behind the mask. None other than our best friend Bucky Barnes. "Bucky?" Steve asks, completely confused. "Who the hell is Bucky?" The Soldier asks as he stands tall. He advances towards Steve again, but Sam flies by in his wings and hits the Winter Soldier to the ground. The Winter Soldier rolls and lands on his feet next to a car. Sam lifts his gun and the car explodes. When the dust clears, Bucky is gone. Before any of us can react, we hear loud sirens. We all stand, completely helpless as dozens of agents get out of their cars with their guns raised. "Drop the shield, Cap! Get on your knees!" They yell. I stand completely frozen at the sight of yet another best friend who was supposed to be dead. "Get down!" A guard behind me yells at me, but I don't hear. My thoughts are blaring in my head as I think about my best friend.
