Part 4

(y/n) P.O.V:

"Goddammit no one told I would have to do the homework too!" I groaned as I sat in front of the math textbooks. Not my strongest subject.

After a while I decided to take a break and make myself some dinner. But deviate from the kitchen and go to another hallway first.

I need to check on Tomie and make sure she has eaten.

I softly knock on the door, not knowing if she was asleep, but also not wanting to scare her.
"Hello, Ms. Ukai?" I hear footsteps approaching the door and it opens slightly, "(y/n) dear, how may I help you?" The woman with blonde messy hair, with sunken eyes greets me with a small smile, and I smile sweetly at her, "I'm going to be making dinner, would you like for me to make you some?"

Her eyes widen, and her smile wavers, "I can bring it to your room if you want, I could leave it outside the door for you if it makes you more comfortable" I say noticing her distress, my bright smile constant throughout the interaction. She breathes out, relaxing her body ever so slightly, "If you don't mind doing that I would deeply appreciate it." A small smile going back into her features. I nod and turn around towards the kitchen as she closes the door.

I begin preparing the food as my mind wonders thinking about my classmates, and before I could notice, memories from the past begin coming to my mind.

"Come on! It's going to be fun!" My brother says as he starts heading towards a hill. "But we can't, we aren't allowed to be in this area" I say with worry.

I then see a hand being extended towards me, "Come on! I've already been there! It is amazing, You're going to love it!" He pushes his hand closer to me, offering me to take it, I hesitate and shake my head a bit, "Come on little sparrow, I would never get you in trouble" he says cheekily "yes you would! You always get us in trouble!"

He laughs and ruffles my hair, and crouches to my height "yes, yes, I already said I was sorry about that, but come on, this place is amazing! I'm not going to get us in trouble this time. Don't you trust me?" He says with an expecting look, small cheeky smile, and extends his hand out to me again.

This time I take it. He guided me deeper into a forest, and constantly reassured me that everything would be fine as he held my hand.

The sun was starting to set therefore the forest started getting darker, I started to tremble seeing the figures lurking in the dark, "I'm scared" this made my brother glance at me, and tighten his hold on my hand, I looked at him and he had a big smile on his face, reassuring me of my safety, "Don't worry, we're almost there".

We continued walking for a few minutes until he said "We're here!" He let go of my hand and turned around to see the view, curious I too turned around, but what I saw was something that I thought only existed in fairy tales.

The beautiful colors of the sunset transitioned from one to another in harmony, as the very few clouds present simply moved along with the world without a bother, the forest that seemed dark and menacing now looked like a pile of gold, as the colors of the sunset reflected on the leaves of the trees. My eyes filled with wonder as I took in the beauty of the moment, it being interrupted by a sudden gust of wind, which made me turn to my brother that was looking out with the same eyes filled with hope and wonder as I had a few moments ago.

I laughed and jumped to hug him "Thank you for bringing me here, it's beautiful" I said burying my face into his chest. He stumbled back a bit, since he wasn't expecting the hug, he smiled and ruffled my hair as he hugged me back. "You're welcome, I had to take you out of that place for a few minutes anyways" his smile became wider and I began to giggle.

We walked back when the sky was completely dark, which might've not been a good idea since we now struggled finding our way back. By the time we got to the academy it was really late, our caretakers scolded us and told us we were grounded for 3 weeks, cleaning duty.

At the time I was really mad since he had told me we wouldn't get in trouble, but now I can't help but to smile at the memory, and internally thank him for being there.

I finished the food, and took two trays upstairs, I left one in front of Tomie's room, knocked on the door a few times to let her know the food was there, and left to my room.

Once I finished eating, I continued with my homework, and created my schedule for the new semester, and figuring out which homework I would do on each day so that it wouldn't pile up, also making some space for training, research, and resting.

Once done with that it was really late so I decided to head to bed. I had a long week ahead of me, as I needed to train for the sports festival.

This is going to be a literal pain in the ass.
