Colors

TW: mention of scabs? Idk if that's a trigger

Ok before the story starts this is from forests POV and he is an artist and sees sounds or different things like emotions as colors I'm not sure if that made any since so I'll explain, technically if he hears yelling or something idk he could see red or a different color idk I'm just trying something out. Make sure to drink water though bue bye!

Forest POV-

Leo, Kaiden, Corin, and Cleme had drove off and left me and Kenji in the snow. Kenji got up and held out his hand to help me up. We walked down the pathway to Kenji's car.

"They seemed nice." Kenji said interrupting the blue gray silence.

"Who?"

"Leo's friends."

"Oh yea."

Kenji was being more quiet then usual I tried to keep the thought out of my head but considering nothing else really happens in my life it was kinda hard. I looked out the car window the snow was falling steadily from the sky. I like winter but everything was so gray. In summer it was ok mostly bright neons it was an eyesore sometimes but a lot of people were happier in the summer so it was ok. The main thing I would change about summer would be the faint red that everything was when it was hot. Most of the time during last summer I would just lay in my bed unless Kenji wanted to talk to me. Spring was mostly pastels and rainy days made the colors turn darker. Fall was my favorite season the colors were almost always calm so I feel motivated to go outside.

Kenji still hadn't talked and eventually turned on music.

Yellow - Coldplay

The song always gave me a calming sensation. Swirls of dimmed yellow and burnt orange were in the air. I hummed the song as the pretty colors circled in my mind.

"Hey are you mad at me? Cause you've been awfully quiet." I said mindlessly. The car went silent again except the song in the background. Kenji just started ahead into the road. Had he not heard me? The stillness made me uneasy, I wanted to say something but there wasn't much to say.

"No I'm not just...tired."

"Oh ok. We don't have to go to their house if you don't want to."

"It's fine Leo seemed like he wanted us there anyway."

"Ok." The silence was less scary now. I still think it would be better if we just went home. Kenji always seemed so worn out recently. Although he still tries to put on a smile for everyone he knows it's fine not to with me, I was never sure why but it made me happy to know that he felt safe around me.

After a bit of following Leo's car we finally pulled up to a house. It wasn't big or small but it looked quite nice and homey. We got out of the car and Kenji immediately smiled again, I guess I know why he is such a good actor, he tends to practice it a lot. We walked on to a small porch where Corin struggled to open the door.

"Corin can't get into his own house." Kaiden said smiling.

"Well normally I leave the door unlocked because the lock is broken." Citrus orange laughter came from mostly everyone except Corin who eventually handed the keys to Cleme who opened the door with ease.

"I dunno Corin maybe your just weak." Kaiden said giggling.

The inside of the house was warmer then expected, and had lots browns, beige, dark blue, and sage.

"Do you guys wanna play monopoly?" Corin asked.

We sat down at the kitchen table where we took out the game which looked like it has seen a lot. We decided to go in teams of two considering half the game pieces were missing. This was better for me anyway because I had never played.

'YOU'VE NEVER PLAYED MONOPOLY?' Cleme wrote in a sketch pad.

"No."

"WHO RAISED YOU?" Corin said jokingly.

I teamed with Kenji, expected, Corin and Cleme teamed, and Leo and Kaiden teamed.

"Sorry Kade I would team with you but Cleme is the luckiest person on earth." Corin said.

Everyone had sat down and now I was able to see different features about the group I hadn't noticed before. Cleme had painted nails that were black, and also had circular earrings, and a scar on their cheek. Corin's ears were tipped like an elf and somewhat resembled a fox but had eyes like a doe. Leo had really long eyelashes but they were blonde and hard to notice, it also looked like he had eyeliner on but it was smudged or maybe he just looked tired. Kaiden's fingers had scabs which looked like from bitting them. I looked at Cleme who held up a pice of paper, I didn't read what it said because I got distracted by their eyes. I was going to have to paint them.
