Tears brim in my eyes as I look back down to my phone, Harvey had hung up in me. I engulfed my bottom lip as I began to sob. It raked over my body and washed over me like a wave.
I dialed Luke's number and pressed dial only to have it sent to his voice mail three rings later. I blew my dark blonde hair out of my face and sneeze loudly before it twisted itself into a yawn.
All I want is a nice reliable boyfriend, maybe I'm asking to much... Who am I kidding? Of course I am.
My phone buzzes an I realize it's still on vibrate from school today. I'm a senior at Lincoln High, a small high school in my Ohio home.
The screen on my Nokia flip phone ((which is probably the last flip phone in earth)) reads Bonnie Boo.
Bonnie has been my best friend since fifth grade, the bet part is she gets along with Luke Hemmings, my toe best friend.
"Hey!" I exclaim.
"Hey, me and Justin are going to see The Duff or whatever it's called, wanna come?" Her voice is full of sympathy.
"And be the third wheel? No thanks, I think I'm gonna work on my baking and drown myself in frosting and sprinkles... And cupcakes in general." I laugh.
"Oh come on!" She pleads and I can't help but consider it even though I know I have o turn her down.
"Really, I'm alright... But you can feel free to come over when it's over. You can even bring Justin if you want." I shrug even though I know she can't see me.
"Scratch it, we'll be over in five minutes." Before I can reject her abrupt invitation to MY house she hangs up and I sigh.
I decide to use the time in between her arrival to clean my messy room. First, I hang all my clothes in my closet and I begin a load of laundry. Just as I'm about to organize my bookshelf there's a knock on the door and I don't hesitate to open it.
"Hi!" I exclaim with a broad grin. Bonnie and Justin are standing in the porch and I welcome them in.
Bonnie's has short shoulder length black hair with a single pink streak, and light green eyes while my own are a dull grey.
"So... Wanna help me bake some cupcakes?" I ask forcing a chuckle.
"You were serious?" She raises her eyebrows and I giver her a duh! Look.
I look over to Justin who gives me a killer smile. "I'll help, by I must worn you Jm not that good."
Bonnie snorts. "Don't let him help unless you already have a will... His cooking will with no doubt, poison you." He smirks and looks up to Justin.
Bonnie's around five foot four, maybe five out five while Justin is around six two.
I find tall guys very intimidating while I stand at five foot. I remember the memory of me meeting Luke when I was a freshman... I was only 5'2 and he was still his 6'4 self.
Let's just say, when he has kids they're no doubly going to be intimidated by him...
Buy, he's like a teddy bear really. I don't think I'd actually tell him that though... What guy likes being compared to a teddy bear?
Even now that Bonnie's dating Justin she always talks about how cute Luke is. I think they'd make a perfect couple, even though I do like Justin and her.
Justin has light olive toned skin and charcoal colored eyed. He has a wonderful build and if he wasn't dating my best friend I would think he was mouth watering.
My phone rang and began to blare Demi Lovato... It was Harvey...
Bonnie saw this first and snatched the phone off the table an ignored his call.
"Hey!" I exclaimed.
"What do you mean hey? Come on babe you know he's not good for you... None of your boyfriends so far have been good for you. Now, I say this out of love... But love is a drug, even if it's a fake knock off live slash drug... Point is you've been popping pills every week the pat three years." I furrow my brows.
"Not true at all!" I say defensively.
"I gotta agree with Bonnie." Justin says softly.
I sigh in defeat. "Well, next time you give me your advice please don't compare me to a pill popper and the advice may seem more effective." We all laugh in harmony and I turn on the oven and get ready to bake.
