𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐭'𝐬 𝐏𝐎𝐕
'It's good to be back, Pilipinas!'
I'm here already outside of the Airport—waiting for someone to pick me up.
"𝐀𝐧𝐚𝐤!" Bago ko nilingon ang tumawag sa'kin, tinanggal ko muna ang sunglasses ko.
"𝐇𝐞𝐲 𝐃𝐚𝐝!" Pababa sya ng kotse while, I'm walking towards him.
He then hug me and tap my back, "𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐚𝐠-𝐛𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐤, 𝐧𝐚𝐤!" I just smile at him and get in the car.
I'm sitting here at the backseat while Dad's the Driver, "𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐲𝐨, 𝐧𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐥 𝐤𝐚 𝐲𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐝𝐮𝐧 𝐬𝐚 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐘𝐨𝐫𝐤, 𝐧𝐚𝐤?" He suddenly asked while his eyes were focusing on the road.
'I've been there for a long time but, I'm calling them--my family from time to time.'
"𝐇𝐦𝐦, 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐡..." I sigh, "...𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐨𝐟, 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠," I seriously answered while looking outside.
He didn't bother to ask me any questions, again.
Nasa lugar na kami namin. "𝐃𝐚𝐝," I call him.
"𝐀𝐧𝐚𝐤?"
"𝐂𝐚𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐝𝐫𝐨𝐩 𝐦𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐍-𝐍𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐟𝐞?" I'm not sure if he's familiar with this Cafe.
Hininto nya ang car, and he then look at me, "𝐀𝐬𝐚𝐧 𝐝𝐮𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐤? 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐢-𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐢 𝐧𝐚 𝐤𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐠 𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐡 '𝐲𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐚𝐟𝐞 𝐧𝐚'𝐲𝐚𝐧."
'Great! She's now a successful... On her own.'
"'𝐘𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐮𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐡," Nakuha nya naman siguro kasi agad n'yang pina-takbo ulit ang car.
"𝐀𝐥𝐚𝐦 𝐦𝐨 𝐧𝐚𝐤, 𝐢𝐛𝐚-𝐢𝐛𝐚 𝐧𝐚'𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐰𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐣𝐚𝐧." He suddenly spoke.
Hindi ako sumagot.
"𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐨, 𝐧𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐤𝐚-𝐡𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐩𝐚 𝐫𝐢𝐧 ng totoong owner, 𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐦 𝐦𝐨 '𝐲𝐨𝐧, 𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐡 𝐛𝐚 '𝐲𝐨𝐧?" I just noded.
'That's why I loved her.'
