"Hey", she yelled, to then proceed to lean in and wispre ever so slightly right into my stupid face: "you said you don't smoke anymore".
She turned away giggled and fell over into the dust. She screamed in terror and laughed hysterically.
I smile.
"I don't", I say and take a deep draw. I lean back over the tree trunk to try and gaze the stars but the branches are getting the better part of them. I turn my hand around and watch the cigarette instead. I stretch my legs out in an instance, as far away from my body as I could. Then I smile again and exhale.
"I'm just trying to get a little closer"

She stops laughing and I get up to walk her back. Maybe she wants a drag too.
