[TW: Arguing, Alchohol, Violence/Abuse]
3rd POV:
Her eyes were like heaven. No, they were heaven. You could fall into them and get lost forever. Her skin was like caramel, glazed and oozing when melted by strong sun rays. Her hair was like a blanket, soft and thick. The blonde strands draped across her graceful shoulders.
"You're..." The man began
She giggled in response, "I'm what?"
"You're like a god."
Wilbur let out a simple sigh. Another $15 he wasted on a cheesy romance novel. Sure, the man was a sucker for cringy romance stories, but he had standards.
Shoveling his body deeper into the sheets, he hummed in delight. Everything made Wilbur feel good. The fabrication of the blanket on his skin. The fluffed pillow holding his head. The gentle purring of the orange cat taking a nap next to him. Everything made Wilbur feel comfortable.
Suddenly, Wilbur heard a faint noise come from the living room. Taking off his glasses, he gently placed his book next to the nightstand and stood up to investigate.
He quietly opened the bedroom door with a hesitating grasp. Stepping into the hallway, he heard small stumbles and steps come from the room he was headed towards.
"Fuck-"
It was then Wilbur realized it was his boyfriend Schlatt. Ease filled his body as he stepped towards the dimly lit room.
"Honey, where were you?" Wilbur chucked, "It's almost Midnight!"
"I was out doing... stuff." Schlatt lazily responded. His words were fuzzy and slurred.
Confused, Wilbur paused for a moment when a sour and pungent smell filled the room. All his joy had been destroyed when he realized what 'stuff' his boyfriend was doing.
The ram was fucking drinking. Again.
analyzing the room, he saw a few bottles scattered across the coffee table. One being opened and spilled onto the carpet.
"Schlatt- were you drinking?" Wilbur bit his lip. The confusion that filled his body had quickly become anger. He didn't want to be disappointed with his love.
But it was the fact that his boyfriend promised he would stop drinking.
Schlatt just stared at the taller man. He knew what he did.
"Look honey, I know you might be angry but-"
"Well of course I'm a bit angry!" Wilbur beconed, "You promised you'd stop drinking this disgusting stuff! It's practically killing you, goddamnit!"
The drunken man's eyebrows burrowed.
The taller man went on, "I trusted your words. It's like- It's like you dont even love me!"
"Don't fucking raise your voice at me!"
Wilbur went silent. An apologetic look was slapped onto his face. He was always nervous when Schlatt raised his voice, as he knew the man had a very short temper.
"Babe I'm sorry, I didn't mean it-"
A bostierious shout came from Schlatt's lips, shutting the other man up. The intoxicated man stepped to Wilbur, making the fear-filled boy walk backwards.
'Shit.' Wilbur thought. He had cornered himself.
The other man had grabbed a bottle.
"You mean those hurtful words. I know it."
Schlatt's wrist fiercely motioned towards the wall, causing the glass liquor bottle to shatter into tiny pieces. The drunk man's eyes then pierced through Wilbur, who was now being cornered by the ram.
"Schlatt... please. Please stop-"
Wilbur's pleading was quickly cut off when the bulkier man raised his hand. He gripped the lankier one's sweater. Schlatt pulled Wilbur in, letting a small sneer escape his lips.
"Stop what, my darling?"
Wilbur's heart stopped as he felt his body being slammed against the drywall behind him. Schlatt's grip never loosened, making the pinned boy squirm.
The ram's grasp only got tighter. Wilbur, gasping for air as he realized he was being choked.
"Schlatt- stop- please I-"
A devilish laugh escaped the intoxicated man's mouth.
The ram's voice echoed in his ear.
"Why don't you fucking beg first?"
The taller boy swatted at Schlatt's arms, hoping, wishing, that his boyfriend would let go.
Wilbur could feel his breaths being shortened.
"Please- Schlatt-" Wilbur whispered, barely getting the first word out of his mouth.
"Please what?" The ram shouted. A sliver of a smile was glued on his lips.
"Let go." Wilburs words were barely audible.
When Schlatt lifted his hands from the taller boy's neck, Wilbur let out a loud and long gasp for air. He dropped to the floor, knees bent towards his chest. He didn't dare to look up.
A single tear shed from her almond shaped eyes. His thumb traced her cheek as he wiped it away.
"Babe... I'm so sorry." The woman cried out. "I didn't mean it. It was only one time!"
The man let out a grunt. "It's okay honey."
Wilbur gulped, closing the book. He shoveled his body into the blanket once more, but it didnt feel the same. The pillow was now flat. His cat had left the room. Most importantly, Schlatt hadn't been in the room.
Turning to his side and shutting his eyes, a single thought played through his head.
Where was Schlatt now?
