A/n: little trans/ gay kirishima I drew up top :) anyways, sorry for the angst and pain in the last chapter <3 it's only gonna get worse loves

I woke up yet again in Recovery Girls room,  right next to Bakugo. He was still asleep, but all of his cuts and bruises were gone. You almost couldn't tell he had been crushed by a whole building. His beautiful eyes were shut so gently, his hair still in its signature explosion style. I smiled as I stared at him asked next to me, gently breathing and very much alive.

God knows how terrified I was when I thought he was dead. Even thinking back to the memory made my heart stop and my face grow pale at the thought of Bakugo dying. I never wanted to feel that way ever again. I never wanted Bakugo to be in that kind of danger, ever again. I'd do everything in my power to prevent that from happening.

Recovery Girl noticed I was awake and wheeled over to me.

"He's okay. Aizawa told me how upset you were. His blast is what saved him, it moved the big rubble out of the way so he only got hit with small rocks." She consoled, taking the IV out of my hand.

"There's just one small... issue. That happened." She began to explain.

Instant panic shot through my chest. If Bakugo was hurt I was going to set the fucking world on fire.

"What? What happened?" I demanded, siting up more in my bed before Recovery Girl gently pushed me back down.

"Relax, Kirishima. He's going to be okay. But that blast... it hurt him. His ears..." She explained.

"What's wrong with his ears?" I asked. I looked back over at him, noticing him slightly stirring in his sleep.

"He can only hear 20% of what he normally could. He's practically fully deaf. And he'll never regain his full hearing." She announced, the words hitting me like knives to the heart.

His ears weren't bandaged, but I could see tiny little cuts on his earlobe and on his jaw near his ears. He couldn't hear me anymore. I mean, he could kind of, but it wasn't a lot. I'd probably have to yell like I did back at  the training center just for him to hear me in a normal speaking voice.

"That's the only damage right? Nothing else?" I asked, sitting up again. Recovery girl didn't push me back down.

"Yes, we did multiple tests. He woke up for a little bit, and he was so worried for you. He kept screaming and asking if you were okay... it was bad. Aizawa had to leave the room. He couldn't even hear himself scream..." She sighed.

He actually cared that much about me? I was kind of shocked. I never took him as the type to care that deeply for someone.

"Now! Onto you, you reckless young man," She started to scold, "You're mighty lucky you didn't do any extra damage with that stunt of yours, but you could have! How many times do I have to tell you to be careful?!"

I was glad I wasn't hurt any more. The sooner I can get back in the binder, the better.

"You'll get the bandages off tomorrow. Come see me after school and I'll remove them for you." She explained, wheeling away when she noticed Bakugos pretty red eyes flutter open.

I looked over at him. He was dazed, and didn't quite know where he was at first. He stated around the room, but stopped when he looked over at me.

I smiled at him, hoping to let him know I was okay. He smiled back at me, probably the first  time I had ever seen him so do. He had such a pretty smile... I could stare at it forever.
