Aera's POV

Today is the day where I and Minhyun decided to meet after a few weeks. He now rarely contacts me these days. I was busily wearing my shoes when I heard my phone beep.

optimushwang:

Sorry, I can't come today. Mom told me to accompany her to the mall. I'm sorry.

Oh, really? It's okay! Enjoy your day with your mom!

Since I can't go out with Minhyun I decided to go to the mall, since I am all dressed up. I decided to go to the mall closest to my house, alone. I got my car keys, locked the door of my house, and went out.

I arrived at the mall and decided to eat since it's past lunchtime already and I haven't eaten yet, so I went to the food court and bought myself some food. I went to look for a table when I noticed a couple, they looked very familiar to me, especially the guy. I shrugged that off and looked for a free table and started eating. After eating I decided to shop for things I need.

I am now looking for a pair of shoes at a store then, from the corner of my eye, I saw a couple, I think they were the ones I saw at the food court, they look good together. I didn't mind them and just continued finding the pair of shoes I was looking for.

It took me a while to look for the design I was specifically looking for. When I already found it, I was headed straight to the sales lady when suddenly we heard someone shout. It came from the rack behind me. Since we got curious, I made my way to the commotion. Then I saw a person I least expected to see.

It was Minhyun, my Minhyun, with the person I hated the most, Courtney Adier. Courtney had both of her hands clung to Minhyun's arm while wailing like a spoiled brat.

"These are not the shoes I asked for!" Courtney said as she pouts like a child not given the thing it needs.

I was taken aback by Minhyun's sudden affection for her. He held her hand and kissed her forehead. "Let's just look at the other stores, maybe the shoes you are looking for are there," he said then they left while their hands are intertwined.

Because of shock, I was left there standing all alone while holding the shoes I was supposed to buy. So it's true, his parents did set them up. And the Courtney girl his mother was saying is my childhood rival. That's why he's not contacting me anymore? My inner thoughts were disturbed when a saleslady spoke to me.

"Miss, are you going to buy those shoes?" she asked me.

I just nodded my head in response. And paid at the counter.
