(POV shift)
DING DONG
"Coming!" I ran down the stairs to open the door.
"Avery!" I exclaimed.
We hugged in the doorway.
I soon walked him into the living room.
"I didn't think you would come over!"
I had nothing but a smile on my face.
"Did you think I would forget your 17th birthday?"
I chuckled at his remark.
"Yeah, you would," But I didn't dare say that aloud.
We kissed.
We ended up in the position of me being on top of him.
He gave me a little nudge to get off him.
He then looked as if he just remembered something.
"Oh, I forgot! I got you a present, but It's in my car. Hold on."
He steps outside, and gets something from the backseat.
He walks back inside, a thick box in his hands.
He places it onto the coffee table.
I gently unwrap it, saving the wrapping paper.
Inside, was a gaming console.
I looked up at him, ashamed.
He had put his hand on the back of his neck sheepishly.
He got me the gaming console that he had wanted.
"Why?" Was all I could ask.
"Uh, I thought It would be a good gift? You know, we could do couple's bonding."
I stared at him, unamused.
He then pulled a small box out his jacket pocket.
"Yeah, I have another gift, as my plan B."
I jokingly ask, "Is this a marriage proposal?"
"Yeah, okay, sure."
I was intrigued.
He handed the small wrapped box to me.
After taking the wrapping paper off, I pop open the top of the lid.
I was shocked at what I saw inside.
"Soooo? Do you like it?" He asked.
I took the cherry ring-pop out of the box.
"Thank you so much," I say sarcastically.
He giggled.
I took the candy wrapper off, and stuck the candy into my mouth.
At least it was cherry flavor.
He pecked my cheek.
"You're welcome, darling."
I blushed, but cringed at the pet name.
I throw out the remains of the ring-pop after I finished it.
I meet Avery back in the living room.
"Can we go to your room? I'm tried," He asked me.
He probably pulled another all-nighter .
"Sure, I don't mind."
We walk upstairs.
We enter my room.
He stretched.
"Same as I remember," He remarked.
He removed his jacket, and asked for joggers.
I tossed him a pair.
He then plopped himself onto my bed.
He got comfortable as if it was his own.
"Sleep with me," He whined.
He sounded like a child.
I couldn't help but let out a small laugh.
He now had a grumpy face on.
"Okay, okay, fine."
I tied long my hair into a low ponytail.
It was to my back, now.
I get into bed next to him.
He put his head on my chest.
I put my hand on the back of his head, and my arm on his waist.
I played with his hair, and watched as he started to fall asleep.
"One day, we'll get married, Avery."
He mumbled, "Okay, sure—"
"—you weirdo."
Totally not attacked at all.
