--YOUR POV--
A few days had passed since that whole... incident. You and Hooni would chat on the regular, and it slowly began to seep into your schedule. Not that you minded or anything, you just realized that the two of you were really getting along.
Over those days, you had conjured up your part of the draft that the two of you had talked about. You thought it was cheesy, but it was rather lengthy, so you couldn't help but feel proud of it. The main idea of the letter was that a man at sea wrote back to his family at home, placed the paper into a bottle, and let it float across the sea, only to be found twenty years later.
But your mind was definitely not thinking about what you had written. You were mostly thinking about Hooni's draft.
What could it possibly be about? You... had never actually seen his writing before. There was no way it was bad, or at least, you wouldn't see it as bad. You thought of Hooni telling you how bad he was at writing in the texts he sent to you, but you had a feeling he had more talent than he thought he did.
You would find out today, of course. You were beyond excited.
First, the usual. Getting off the bus and walking down hallways. Chatting with Sora and Ara and waiting for class to start. Then, Hooni came in and sat down. You said your goodbyes to your other friends and went over to sit by him.
There were several whispers and stifled giggles behind you, and you could see how Hooni seemed to be upset by them. When you glanced over in the corner, you saw Hyun-ki smirking along with some of his friends. That bastard! You knew he said something about you.
But at this point... you could care less. None of your friends would believe him, especially after you told them all that had happened. People would forget eventually, too.
You rested your hand on Hooni's shoulder, giving it a comforting pat. He smiled a little, which made you feel better.
Soon enough, the teacher walked in, signifying that class was about to start. Everyone found their assigned seats.

"Okay, Hooni. Are you ready to show me your draft?"
Hooni sat in front of you, holding a few wrinkled papers in his hands. He looked nervous. However, after a few seconds, he gave a curt nod of his head and gulped.
As soon as the two of you exchanged papers, you noticed how Hooni's face suddenly erupted into a bright red. He hid himself with your papers and started to read them. A thought entered into your mind, and it caused you to blush as well. Could his draft... possibly be...
You began to read.
"Dear Y/N,
You have become one of the kindest people in my life. The last person to be this thoughtful and loving was my mother, and she has been gone for years.
The feelings between us are obvious. I wish I had the confidence to be able to tell you out loud, but this is the best I could do... This is so weird for me, because I've never felt this determined in my life. I used to only think about how bad my life was and when I would try to kill myself next, but recently, those thoughts have been calmed by you. Thank you.
But the thing is, we've only known each other for a little while. I feel kind of gross for feeling so strongly towards you when you might not even feel the same way back. But I've become comfortable enough around you to admit something like this, and I hope that you would still be my friend even after it all.
I love you, Y/N. I just really really hope you feel the same. Please."
Needless to say, you sat in awe.
Hooni continued to hide himself, but you gently laid the papers onto your desk and leaned over to get closer to him. You pulled the papers he was holding down, and looked at his face. He was... sniffling. There were tears at his eyes. He looked up at you for a second but stared back down at his feet, refusing to make eye contact.
"Hooni..."
"I-If you... D-Don't feel the... same way back... I-I... under...stand..." He said, his voice squeaky and quiet.
"No, no... Hooni..." You rested a hand on his shoulder. Your eyes met his.
"I do."

--HOONI'S POV--
For the whole day, Hooni felt joy.
It didn't matter how many times he was shoved, or how many insults were thrown at him.
He was happy.
So happy, in fact, that he wore a smile almost anywhere he went. He found this unbelievably strange because even when he felt joy, it would eventually die out or not last. But this, this was different.
At the end of the day, he hurried through the hallways to find you. You were at your locker, getting ready to head home. He had to see you before you got onto your bus! He stood before you, shaking a little.
When you closed your door and saw him, you smiled. And that made him smile more.
He chatted with you a little, and watched as you walked outside. It was amazing. He was yours, and you were his. Why had life chosen to give someone like him such a beautiful experience?
Oh well. He wasn't going to complain.
A/N: Yeah. Unexpected hiatus.
Things were tough for me for a bit, but everything's over with now, so I can finally work on this again! Sadly, this book is about to come to an end. However, there will be a surprise with the final chapter as well!
